I.Objectives At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a) understand thoroughly the principles and application of direct and indirect speech
through illustrated examples,
b) engage enthusiastically in the transformation of direct to indirect speech during our
classroom discussion.
c) value the effective utilization of both direct and indirect speeches, with the intention
of integrating these skills into their daily lives.
II.Subject Matter Topic: Direct and Indirect/Reported Speech
Content Standard: The learner develop proficiency in understanding and applying the
principles of direct and reported speech in various contexts.
Performance Standard: The learner demonstrates proficiency in understanding and
applying the principles of direct and reported speech in various contexts.

Direct speech
