PROJECT REPORT ON COMPUTER TRAINING

For

1. INTRODUCTION

The computer software is divided into two groups viz. System software and Application
Software. The system software is used for application development. It operates and
interfaces with system software. Application software has wide scope for development
than system software.

The widely used application software are word processors, spread sheets and
databases. Software like spreadsheets has simplified task of budgeting financial
analysis, forecasting less time consuming, efficient, accuracy, simple and easy job. The
database software has revolutionsed the data management of storing, organising and
retrieving information from large source of data.

2. TRAINING PROCESS

The programmes being conducted by the centre are advertised regularly in the local
newspapers, etc. The selected candidates are guided by professional counselor for the
course suitable for them depending on their background. They are also provided with
the detailed programme indicating content of the course, duration etc. The course
material will be given to the selected candidates. Students get normally 50% of the
course time on computers. The institute will also provide additional computer time for
undertaking School or college projects. The centre may also offer placement assistance
to the students in various corporate sectors. Besides the training, the centre can also
undertake separately data processing work.

The centre can offer 4 to 12 weeks duration short term courses and long term courses
like Certificate Course in Computers, Diploma in Computer Applications, Advanced
Diploma in Computer Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, etc.

3. GOALS & OBJECTIVE


The overall objective of the project is reducing of child labor, providing support on
computer education , building inclusive skill creating opportunity for women & youth
The project supports to 200 members of students from poor economic background
includes children, youth students, women, due financial crisis, they are unable to
undertake vocational and skill trainings.

4. ORIGIN

Our organization HARISHPUR PROSTITUTE CHILDREN RAHABILITATION CENTRE was


established in the year 2002-03 bu the president who was o school teacher at the time being
moved by inhuman treatment made to some illegal children of two/three women who were
compelled to sale themselves as prostitutes in Kolkata and other nearby towns. These
children were begging , stealing, pick-pocketing in the streets, stations and used
to leave in the station, bus stand, or in the open fields, People used to curse them
for their birth and beat them at small offences. nobody in the world had to show
any sympathy for them. One day the Mastermasai was sitting in a bench in the
station waiting for the train to come,, All on a sudden he came across a commotion,
He moved to the place and saw some people beating mercilessly one small boy in
tattered c l o t h e s w h o w a s c r y i n g l o u d l y w i t h t e a r s t r i c k l i n g d o w n h i s d r i e d
u p c h i c k s . Mastermasai could not control his tears at the scene and made an
active entry to resist the beasts in the guise of human being and rescued t he
boy f rom t heir clutches, Immediately, the idea crossed his mind to do something
for these unfortunate children who were also gifts of God like other children who
were born with gold spoon in the mouth. One of his women colleagues subscribed
to his idea and came forward to help him, A centre was opened to give shelter to
the children of prostitutes and the society in the name HARISHPUR PROSTITUTE
CHILDREN REHABILITATION CENTRE was formed and registered under the WB
Societies Registration Act 1961.

The Mastermasai took long leave from the school to concentrate on his
n e w assignment. He gathered some money by disposing of some of his paternal
property and purchased a patch of land at Bidyadharpur where the present centre
and the NGO is situated. The villagers came to his help by providing land at a
concessional rate and also extended full cooperation in all his activities. There was
no such centre in the nearby area and the name of this centre spread throughout
south 24 pgs and other surrounding districts. Hindu, Muslim, Higher castes, SC.ST-
prostitute children from all communities. Castes and creeds came
to live in the centre together to sing the saga of life without caring for the artificial
social barrier of caste ,religion and culture.

Mastermasai started a primary school to impart basic education to the children. He


has also adopted a local High School to send the children for higher

educat ion after completion of primary education. Some of these destitute


children are now studying in class VII, VIII, IX and X, in the high school. Apart
from curricular activities thee is arrangement for extracurricular activities like
Music, Fine art. Games and sports etc are being cultured here and people will
wonder to learn that many of these unfortunate creatures have excelled in art and
cultural activities.

The State Govt. has recognized the centre as Govt. Destitute Home and send
destitute children rescued by the administration tor shelter and rehabilitation. The social
impact of this programme has been to bring home to the people that these unwanted and
unfortunate children have the right to live in the world with their head held high and are able
to and have many things to contribute to the society.

5. Capability and Capacity of the organization:

HPCRC is one of the pioneers in Childcare and education services in South 24 Pgs district and would
be using the services of other similar institutions to implement the program.

(a) Infrastructure Available

The organization owns 4.50 kathas of land in the Ashram with more than 2000 sqft. covered area.
The High School adopted by the organization has a compound of 2 bighas of land with a building

With 14 rooms ( class room, study room, Teachers' room. Meeting room etc t 4 rooms can be utilized
on whole time basis and 8 rooms can be utilized after school hours for the Coaching purpose.

b) Availability of Teachers for Coaching


The Project Director himself a qualified and experienced teacher has so many qualified
teacher colleagues. The teachers in the high school are highly qualified and their services can be easily
hired. Some Retired teachers and high retired Govt. officials are attached with our Ashram whose advice
and services can also be made use of.
