c) Some of the measures taken by Goal 2 are:


• Zero Hunger Challenge: Launched by the UN Secretary-General in 2012, the Zero Hunger
Challenge is a global call to action to eradicate hunger within a generation. It focuses on five pillars:
(1) zero stunted children under two years old, (2) 100% access to adequate food all year round, (3)
all food systems are sustainable, (4) 100% increase in smallholder productivity and income, and (5)
zero loss or waste of food.
• World Food Program (WFP): The WFP is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger
worldwide. It delivers food assistance in emergencies and works with communities to improve
nutrition and build resilience. The WFP also supports school feeding programs to encourage
attendance and enhance learning outcomes.

• Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement: The SUN Movement is a global initiative that brings
together governments, civil society, businesses, and donors to prioritize and scale up nutrition

interventions. It aims to reduce malnutrition in all its forms, with a focus on women, infants, and
young children.
