Part 1: Introduce yourself
Students introduce themselves: Name, age, class, school, address, favorite subject, after- school
activity…
Part 2: Students present topic individually.
Part 3: Each student answers the teacher’s questions.
II. HOW TO TEST
* Preparation
- Each student takes a topic
- They have 5 minutes to prepare their topic, how they are going to present.
* Presentation
- Each student’s presentation must not be more than 03 minutes.
- In part 1: A student talks about himself/ herself in 30 seconds (Teacher can ask a few questions if
necessary)
- In part 2: They present their topic.
- In part 3: Teacher can ask each student a few questions if necessary.
* Mark
Part 1: Introduce yourself (LOW: 0.5m)
Part 2: Present topic individually (HIGH: 1m)
Part 3: Each student answers the teacher’s questions. (LOW: 0.5m)
III. SUGGESTED QUESTIONS
TOPIC 1: THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Name some kinds of pollution that you know.
2. Is our environment being seriously polluted nowadays?
3. What can we do to protect our environment/keep the environment clean/unpolluted?
4. How can we save paper/ use fewer plastic bags/prevent littering/ reduce water pollution/
reduce air pollution?
5. What should you do in your school to minimize pollution?
Pollution comes in all shapes and sizes, from air pollution caused by car emissions and
industrial smoke to water pollution from chemicals and waste. our environment is definitely
taking a hit from all the pollution nowadays. We can start by reducing, reusing, and recycling
to keep things clean and unpolluted. Simple things like using less paper, saying no to plastic
bags, and not littering can make a big difference. We can also have ride- sharing or use public
transportation to cut down on air pollution. And in school, we can minimize pollution by using
eco-friendly products, and educating others on the importance of keeping our environment
clean.

 Ô nhiễm có đủ hình dạng và quy mô, từ ô nhiễm không khí do khí thải ô tô và khói công
nghiệp đến ô nhiễm nước do hóa chất và chất thải. môi trường của chúng ta chắc chắn đang bị
ảnh hưởng bởi tình trạng ô nhiễm ngày nay. Chúng ta có thể bắt đầu bằng việc giảm thiểu, tái
sử dụng và tái chế để giữ mọi thứ sạch sẽ và không bị ô nhiễm. Những điều đơn giản như sử
dụng ít giấy hơn, nói không với túi nhựa và không xả rác có thể tạo nên sự khác biệt lớn.
Chúng ta cũng có thể đi chung xe hoặc sử dụng phương tiện giao thông công cộng để giảm
thiểu ô nhiễm không khí. Và ở trường học, chúng ta có thể giảm thiểu ô nhiễm bằng cách sử
dụng các sản phẩm thân thiện với môi trường và giáo dục người khác về tầm quan trọng của
việc giữ sạch môi trường.

TOPIC 2: SAVING ENERGY

1. What can we do to save energy?
2. Why should we save energy?

4. How can we save energy at home? at school? in the kitchen?
5. What can we do to spend less on lighting/save water?

There are many ways to save energy.

Firstly, we should turn off all electric appliances such as lights, air conditioners, televisions,
fans, computers, … when we don’t use them.
Secondly, we should turn off the faucets tightly when we go out. Moreover, we should take a
shower instead of bathing.
Finally, we should travel by public buses, by bikes or on foot to save petrol. Therefore, we
should save energy to protect the Earth’s resources.

Có nhiều cách để tiết kiệm năng lượng. Đầu tiên, chúng ta nên tắt tất cả các thiết bị điện như đèn,
điều hòa, tivi, quạt, máy tính,… khi không sử dụng. Thứ hai, chúng ta nên khóa chặt vòi nước khi
ra ngoài. Hơn nữa, chúng ta nên tắm thay vì tắm. Cuối cùng, chúng ta nên di chuyển bằng xe buýt
công cộng, xe đạp hoặc đi bộ để tiết kiệm xăng. Vì vậy, chúng ta nên tiết kiệm năng lượng để bảo
vệ tài nguyên Trái đất.

TOPIC 3: CELEBRATIONS

2. What is the most important celebration in Vietnam? Why?
3. What do Vietnamese people usually do to prepare for Tet?
4. What do Vietnamese people usually do during Tet?
5. Which festival do you like best? Why?
6. Is it necessary to celebrate Father’s Day or Mother’s Day in Viet Nam? Why?

There are many celebrations throughout the year in Vietnam, but Tet or the Lunar New Year is the most
important celebration for Vietnamese people. Tet is a festival which usually occurs in late January or
early February. A few days before Tet is the time for people to clean and decorate their houses. During
Tet, people wear new clothes, enjoy special food such as sticky rice cakes, visit their friends, relatives,
colleagues and teachers, wish them all kinds of good things like happiness, health and success, forget
about the troubles of the past year and hope for a better upcoming year. They give children lucky money
covered in pretty little red envelopes . Also, they visit temples and pagodas to pray for a good start in the
coming year. Tet is also the time for family members who live apart try to be together.

Có rất nhiều lễ kỷ niệm trong năm ở Việt Nam, nhưng Tết hay Tết Nguyên đán là lễ kỷ niệm quan
trọng nhất đối với người Việt. Tết là một lễ hội thường diễn ra vào cuối tháng Giêng hoặc đầu
tháng Hai. Vài ngày trước Tết là thời điểm mọi người dọn dẹp, trang trí nhà cửa. Trong dịp Tết,
mọi người mặc quần áo mới, thưởng thức những món ăn đặc biệt như bánh nếp, thăm bạn bè,
người thân, đồng nghiệp, thầy cô, chúc mọi điều tốt đẹp như hạnh phúc, sức khỏe, thành công,
quên đi những ưu phiền của năm đã qua và hy vọng một năm sắp tới sẽ tốt đẹp hơn. Họ tặng quà
may mắn cho trẻ em được đựng trong những chiếc phong bì nhỏ màu đỏ. Ngoài ra, họ còn đi thăm
các đền chùa để cầu mong một khởi đầu tốt đẹp trong năm mới sắp tới. Tết cũng là lúc các thành
viên trong gia đình sống xa nhau cố gắng được ở bên nhau.
