B. Table of the result (maybe copied from Jamovi) with interpretation (15 points)

BMI & SMOKES (YES/NO)

Independent Samples T-Test

Statistic df p Mean difference SE difference Effect Size

BMI Student's t 0.923 104 0.358 0.868 0.940 Cohen's d 0.294

Welch's t 0.877 12.1 0.397 0.868 0.990 Cohen's d 0.286

Note. Hₐ μ 1 ≠ μ 2

Assumptions
Normality Test (Shapiro-Wilk)

W p

BMI 0.966 0.009

Note. A low p-value suggests a violation of the assumption of normality

Homogeneity of Variances Test (Levene's)

F df df2 p

BMI 0.104 1 104 0.748

Note. A low p-value suggests a violation of the assumption of equal

variances

Group Descriptives

Group N Mean Median SD SE

BMI 1 11 22.7 22.6 3.13 0.943

2 95 21.8 21.4 2.93 0.301

T- Test was used to determine the significant relationship existed between BMI and
Smoking or Not Person. The table above shows that the mean and median of the BMI
of smoking or not are almost equal. The result is also insignificant since the p-value
is greater than 0.5.

T- Test was used to determine the significant relationship existed between BMI and
drinking alcohol or not. The table above shows that the mean and median of the BMI
and drinking alcohol or not are almost equal. The result is also statistically significant
since the p-value is less than 0.5.
