III. Procedures
A. 1.a Opening Song/Energizer
The class will sing the song. Using the tone “Watermelon”.

Cube and Cone (2x).


Pyramid (2x),
Cylinder and Prism (2x)
These are solid figures, solid figures

b. Drill
The teacher will flash a number which tells the number of sides of the polygon then
the pupils will tell the name of the polygon.

Ask: What is the polygon with _________ sides?


(Flash a number) 2, 5, 8, 6, 4, etc.

2. Review
JUMBLED LETTERS
Let the pupils re-arrange the jumbled letters to form a word.

Ask: What word did you form in a given activity?

3. Motivation
Let the pupils draw on the board some examples of Solid Figures.
Say:
Now, let’s watch a video clip presentation about visualizing the different solid figures.

1. Group Activity
Let the pupils form into 5 groups. Let each group complete the table by supplying
the required data. The first group to finish the given activity will be the winner.

Direction: The teacher will prepare a rolled paper with a solid figure drawn in the
box and let the class listened to the music “3D Shapes Song by Jack Hartman” and if
the teacher will pause the music, the pupil with the box in her hand will answer the
activity by naming the solid figure in the rolled paper.

IV. Evaluation
Directions: Visualize and draw the different solid figures.

A. Discussion on the solid figures and the description of each solid figure.
 A solid figure is a three-dimensional figure. It has the length, width and height
or depth.
 Cube is a rectangular solid with all square faces.
 Prisms are solid figures whose bases are congruent polygons of a specific shape.
The sides or faces are rectangles. The base of the prism can be the shape of any
polygon – triangle, rectangle, pentagon, etc. where the name of the prism is
derived.
 Pyramid is a solid figure with a polygon as its base and whose faces are
triangles.
 Cylinder is a solid figure with two congruent parallel circles that serve as its
bases.
 Cone is a solid figure with a circular base and one vertex.
 Sphere is a solid surface with such shape that every point on it is of the same
distance to the center.
