Background
The World Jewish Relief project aims to support people from Ukraine who are now based in the United
Kingdom. The goal is to improve their English to help them gain employment in the United Kingdom and
settle into society. The focus is on English for employment and work, however lower-level students and
those who will work in sectors such as retail will also benefit from our social English themes.

Assessment and learner training


English Score will be used as the course assessment. Initially students will sit the English
Score test as a pre-course placement test, followed by a mid- and post-course progress test.
There are supplementary activities to use with shorter classes every week, as well as the first
day PPT and learner training activities. The supplementary materials can be found in the
dedicated channel on Teams.
