CHEMPLUS 178
D E S C R I P T I O N:
CHEMPLUS 178 an aerosol packaged release agent with the following
uses and qualities:
1. USES
Mould release or parting agent for:

n Rubber fabricating – All common elastomers such as shoe

heels, molded tyros, electrical parts.

n Glass molding – Moulds, shears, delivery equipment.

n Plastic molding – Epoxies melamine, polyesters and most other

materials.

n Food applications: Bakery proffers trays, cheese moulds, and

candy equipment, agitator, paddles, stirrers and freezer
interiors.

n Heat sealing units, glue pots and glue dispensers.

n Business machine parts, chutes, carton guide rails, aluminum

hosiery forms, threaded parts, tray covering, slide rues, pencil
sharpeners.

n Prevents static friction on lenses, diaphragms, adjustable

tools, and casters, spring mechanisms.
2. SUPER – QUALITIES

n Does not decompose to form a carbonaceous build-up on

moulds. Maintenance and cleaning of moulds is cut to a
minimum. Does not stain light colored parts.

n Increases mould production rate since it stops build-up of

CHEMPLUS 178 is an aerosol package mould release agent. It increases mould

production rates since it stops build up of sticking liquids or clinging solids. The product
forms and almost frictionless film on any finished or unfinished surface to which almost
nothing can stick.
A universal product, CHEMPLUS 178 serves at both low and high heat. It serves at high
humid conditions and is not gummy. The product is chemically inert and non–toxic and is
water, oil and soil repellant. CHEMPLUS 178 does not decompose to form a
carbonaceous build – up on moulds. Maintenance and cleaning of moulds is cut to a
minimum. It does not stain light colored parts.
CHEMPLUS 178 works on a silicone basis but provides up to 10 times the anti – sticking
quality of ordinary silicone lubricants or mould release compounds.
* APPLICATION *
Shake can thoroughly and direct spray 100-150mm (4-6”) from area to be cleaned and
spray. For spraying inaccessible parts or in critical applications, the applicator tube
should be inserted in the spray nozzle and this concentrates the spray into a fine jet for
introduction in confined or difficult access areas.
After application, insert can and spray until clear gas appears, to prevent nozzle
clogging.
CHEMPLUS 178 works best at normal room temperatures of between 150 – 300 C (600 –
850 F).
