SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

(Grade 6)

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

a. identify the meaning of FITT;

b. discuss the importance of FITT Principle; and

c. create an exercise plan using the FITT principles.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: FITT PRINCIPLE

III. PRELIMINARIES

a. Prayer
The teacher will be going to call one of her students to lead the prayer.
b. Greetings
The teacher will be going to greet the students good afternoon with a
beautiful smile.
c. Energizer
The teacher will be going to sing/play a musical song.
d. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will be going to call one by one to check who’s present and
who’s absent.
e. Motivation
The teacher will show different pictures and the students will be going to
explain the differences of the pictures.

IV. LESSON PROPER

a. ACTIVITY

The teacher will divide the students in to two groups and the students will
going to arrange the scrambled letters. The group that first forms the scrambled
letters will win the prize.”

b. ANALYSIS

The teacher will ask some questions based on their activity:

1. How do you find our activity class?

2. What does “FITT” stand for?

3. How does exercise contribute to overall health and well-being?

c. ABSTRACTION
The teacher will discuss and give examples about FITT Principle.

F.I.T.T. Principle (or formula) is a great way of monitoring your exercise program.
The acronym FITT outlines the key components or training guidelines, for an
effective exercise program the initial FITT stands for Frequency, Intensity, Time and
Type.

Frequency - Exercise should be carried out 3-5 days a week. This refers to how
often you exercise. The point is to meet your goals without overtraining the body

Intensity -This refers to how difficult an exercise is

Time - This refers to the duration of each exercise.

Type - This refers to what kind of exercise you’ll be doing under the umbrella of
cardio or strength training.

d. APPLICATION

The teacher will be going to group the students into two groups and the

students will going to create an exercise plan using the FITT principle and

demonstrate it in front the group who perform it correctly will receive a prize.

V. ASSESSMENT
