October 2021 Theme:
Lord, bakit?

Theme Verse:
"Why, O Lord, do you stand far away? Why do you hide
yourself in times of trouble?" Psalm 10:1 ESV

Sa bawat “Lord, bakit?”

Asahan mong may sagot.

1
Daily Verse: “The Lord appeared to him from far away. I
have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have
continued my faithfulness to you." Jeremiah 31:3 ESV

Daily Devo: You often see love portrayed in dramas, movies

or even in books. You even feel many emotions by simply
watching it unfold gradually, like when the protagonist
experiences a tragedy. Such things can make your heart
flutter, and you wish the same happened to you in real life.
Now, how about talking about how God showed His love?

The world’s definition of love can sometimes confuse

people because what they read or see online doesn’t fully
tell the whole story behind it but only a glimpse of it. And
somehow, it influences how they perceive things. They
sometimes think that love is all rainbows and butterflies,
but the truth is, love isn’t all that.

What kind of love is greater than this? Jesus is the epitome

of that Great Love. God has been there since the beginning
of time. Even when you meet stumbling blocks on your way,
He has shown His grace. Even when you try to stay away,
His arms are opened for you to embrace. When you cry out
in despair, He wipes those tears for you. When you were
happy and in bliss, He celebrated with you. When you were
feeling lonely and sad, He comforted you. When you’re
about to give up, He is there to encourage you. He showed
what love truly means—unconditional; giving without
expecting in return. He has only your best interests in His
mind. Do remember that His love transcends time and
goes beyond what you can imagine.

Daily Verse: “The Lord appeared to him from far away. I
have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have
continued my faithfulness to you." Jeremiah 31:3 ESV

Daily Devo: Pag-ibig at katapatan ng Diyos? Siguro iniisip

biyaya (see Ephesians 2:7). You are loved not because of
what you’ve done but because of who God is.
Your love for God does not affect His
own choice of loving you. His love rests upon His eternal,
unchanging, and divine character.

kapatid. Kung may kasalanan ka mang nagawa,
kailangan mo itong pagsisihan at ihingi ng tawad. May
kasiguraduhan ang kapatawaran ng Diyos. Huwag mong
paniwalaan ang kasinungalingang hindi ka Niya
tatanggapin.

Daily Verse: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
ESV

Daily Devo: Ironically, you can be blinded easily by what

you see. You might have missed an opportunity that you
badly wanted to get. There might be doors that have to
close for some reason and some messed-up decisions you
cannot take back anymore.

Our life here on earth is not always rocky roads and tough
battles. It is in us to look from another perspective. And
when we look at God's, we'll surely be filled with gratitude.

Don't treat these words as toxic positivity. Indeed, you have

to acknowledge the weight of the realities that you're
facing. But at the same time, you also need to look in a
place where you can realize that you're still here, alive and
thriving despite its difficulty.

Daily Verse: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
ESV

Daily Devo: “In everything give thanks.”

How can you be grateful kung nawalan ka ng trabaho,

mo? How can you thank God when you don’t feel thankful
at all?

God commanded
you to give thanks dahil ang kalooban Niya ay
pasasalamat. Hindi layunin ng Diyos na pahirapan,
masaktan at mawalan ka. God allow those things to
happen for you to know He’s in control. God wants you to
look beyond the pain and suffering to find a reason to be
thankful knowing His plans are greater and so much better
than yours.

man o kalungkutan, kasaganahan o kawalan, nawa’y

Daily Verse: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed
you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 ESV

Daily Devo: There are days where you become so

self-aware that you start to ask questions about yourself.

“God, what do you want me to do in this season?”

“God, how can I be of use to you?”
“God, why am I here? What’s my purpose in this life?”

If you try and look for answers from your peers and find the
answers on social media, you’ll find that most people are
empowered to believe that they should do what they want
to do in this life, they only live once anyway. Go get that
dream job, travel to your dream destination, and live your
days satisfying all of your wants—live for you. But before
you get to explore what you want to do in this life, did you
know that God already has appointed you to do one
specific thing?

Just like Jeremiah, whom God appointed as a prophet, you

also have a specific role for the Kingdom of God. And you
don’t have to look far to know what God wants you to do.
Just look within you—all of the resources and gifts that
God gave you now, are tools that you can use to minister,
help other people, and ultimately become a physical
manifestation of God’s love and power to your church and
your community. When you become so self-aware and you
ask what is the purpose of it all, always go back to the very
beginning—where God created you to become an object of
His love and to respond to His love through believing in Him
and caring for His sheep. And when you become so full of
that love, service and working for God’s Kingdom is going
to be a joy-filled experience.

6
Daily Verse: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed
you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 ESV

universe minsan napapatanong tayo, “Ama, bakit nga ba

(see Jeremiah 29:11) Alam Niya na
ikaw ay para sa Kanya and He always wants the best for
you. You are created in His image di ba? (see Genesis 1:27)
In the end of the story, ikaw ay nilikha para sa Kanya.

Bago pa man ikaw
Lagi mong tandaan na may plano Siya noon pa man at
“Well done, my faithful child” at makikita mo ang ngiti ng
Diyos na matagal nang ninanais ng lahat.

7
Daily Verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to
you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your
hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27
ESV

Daily Devo: Napansin mo ba na as you grow older, mas

mahirap magtiwala sa mga bagay-bagay? Namumuhay
ka na unti-unti sa “to see is to believe.” Kailangang
Kung oo, napansin mo din bang it makes you restless?
Walang inner peace? To the point na nago-overthink ka
na and it consumes your time and strength.

Yes, it may be part of one’s maturity to think more before

doing things. But let’s not forget to check the truth first in
His Words. May mga bagay na kailangan mo munang
paniwalaan bago mo talaga ito makita. Katulad ng
pananampalataya mo sa Diyos. It all started when you
first believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Literally,
hindi mo man Siya nakikita pero mas nakilala at mas
pinaniwalaan mo Siya noong hinayaan mong samahan ka
Niya sa iyong buhay, di ba? Magpatuloy ka lang sa
pagtitiwala sa Kanya. Wala kang talo. May bonus gift pa!
Sabi sa John 14:27 NLT, “I am leaving you with a
gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a
gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Kaya huwag kang matakot at mangamba pa. Let go and

Daily Verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to

ESV

inaapplayan mo. Dagdagan pa na may trust issues ang
HR nyo.

neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as
the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways
higher than your ways and my thoughts than your

Daily Devo: Adventure. What do you imagine when you

hear this word? Maybe you see yourself riding a car going
to a never-been-there place. Trying out extreme activities,
eating exotic food, etc. Minsan hindi maiwasan ang
kapahamakan o accidents. But we’re still trying because
YOLO—you only live once.

Sometimes you do the same in your life. Trying things that

you know will hurt you hoping that you will understand life
by doing it. You challenge God so He will answer. You test
Him to save you because He said He is a Savior. You cry
because He doesn't give the answer you want.

Good news! You will never fully understand God and He will
not give you the exact answer you want. Why is it a good
news? Because through it you will see how He saved.
Imagine God dragging you out of a dangerous forest that
you see as adventure—that’s how it works, that’s how God
sees you. The way He saves you might not be a cool thing
for you but it is the best. Maybe up until now there are
questions in your head why God allowed it to happen or
why it doesn't happen. Even if you don't understand,
believe that His ways are the best. He knows it perfectly
and He is good. Always.

Daily Devo: Lahat tayo may plano sa buhay. We hope for a

perfect timeline of our life. It can include getting good
education, having successful career, happy family,
retirement and be a good parent someday. We adore
those people who have already experienced these things.
We pray for God’s blessing also.

But when we look around, we see more of the other side of

life: poverty, crimes, corruption and lies. Why did God
allow this? Can He not give us what we hoped for?

You know why? Life and being blessed are more than what
our eyes can see. More than we had hoped for. More than
you can ever recognize.

God has a better plan—and that phrase itself is the

answer. God has seen the end of it all. He has been there
too, where your life will end. He sees every detail of your
time here on earth and knows where the down lows and the
curbside—He is the only One capable of bringing you
safely to your promised land.

Daily Verse: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For
by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added
to your life. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you
scoff, you alone will bear it.” Proverbs 9:10-12 ESV

“You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and
keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall
serve him and hold fast to him.” Deuteronomy 13:4 ESV

Daily Devo: What does the fear of the Lord mean? The
constant awareness that our loving heavenly Father is
looking and is aware of everything we think, say, and do is
what fear of the Lord means. To develop this, we must
acknowledge God for who He is. With our spirits, we must
see the Lord God Almighty's power, beauty, and brilliance.
Those who fear the Lord are always aware of Him. They
have a deep respect and love for Him, and a real desire to
obey Him.

Without the fear of the Lord, you may gain knowledge of

earthly things and make some practical choices. You make
final decisions based on your sinful human knowledge. But
when you put the fear of the Lord in every aspect of your
lives, you make decisions based on His approval. You
honor God with your choices. Your gratitude for His mercy
motivates you to do your best to serve Him. And knowing
the God of love is also a God of wrath, gives enough fear in
you to keep you from doing evil. If the real character of
God made you fall into worship, then you are in a good
position to acquire wisdom. Wisdom simply sees and
responds from the point of view of God. Sin is foolish;
righteousness is wise. You are on the way to wisdom when
you live righteously. And those who walk in wisdom receive
the Lord’s guidance in their lives. God will not allow a
situation unless He intends it for your own good.

Daily Verse: Proverbs 9:10-12 ESV; Deuteronomy 13:4 ESV

Everything in creation bears the seal of a
loving God.

This is just one of many reasons we revere the Lord our

Creator.

We honor God because of His majesty that spoke things

into existence. We glorify Him because no one else could
do what He has done—including salvation by way of the
cross. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. No
one is above Him, and Wisdom is found in Him alone. He
deserves the utmost respect and reverence.

May iba pa bang makakapagligtas gaya Niya? May

pag-ibig bang mas selfless at all-encompassing, at
Kanyang grasya. His Sovereignty does not depend on your
perception, nor anything you could or could not do. He
remains the same Almighty God despite your
circumstance. Wonderful news, hindi ba?

Who is like Our God? Who else is as merciful and gracious,

slow to anger, and rich in faithful love? (see Psalm 86:15)

His wisdom is what created the universe. His faithful love is

what sustains it. Truly, no one deserves to be glorified,
praised and worshipped other than Him.

mga taong ito ay imperfect people who are saved by God’s
grace through faith.

itong saints and children of God. What a privilege to be
called children of God and saints! Our Scripture today
emphasizes three important words/phrases: Sincere,
earnestly, and with all your heart. When it comes to how
believers should relate with other believers, they should be
sincere, earnest, and whole-hearted.
ningas at buong puso.

God showed His sincere love to you by giving His only Son.
He loves you earnestly despite your imperfections. You
should do the same to those who belong to His family—the
Church.

Daily Devo: When you see people stir up trouble, what’s

your common reaction? It’s to get angry. But how about
being understanding? Take a deep breath first to have a
hold of the situation before coming to a decision?
Wouldn’t it be better?

Misunderstandings or conflicts between people inside the

church is not always seen, but it does happen. You may
have experienced it at some point because you have
different personalities and habits. You may even feel
humiliated if you don’t get to say a word. Or you might be
thinking of ending the good relationship you have with
them. Whatever the case, it is not solved independently
without taking action to clear it.

Let’s ponder on God’s words: He wants us to take care of

each other the same way He treats everyone of us.

To pray fervently for one another’s welfare.

To nurture relationships built with each other.
To treat everyone with love like a family.

Daily Verse: Joshua 1:9 ESV

Daily Devo: Maraming bagay tayong kinatatakutan.

Takot tayong masaktan (pain), mawalan (loss), mabigo
(failure), at ayawan o iwanan (rejection).
(uncertainty). Maraming bagay ngayon ang walang
kasiguraduhan. ‘Di natin alam kung kelan magwawakas
ang pandemya. Safe ba ako? Ang pamilya ko? This fear
of uncertainty might not sound as intimidating or as
paralyzing as the others mentioned above. But come to
nako-control? Dahil hindi tayo sigurado sa mga
mangyayari, it leads to worry which then leads to fear.
They have very scarce
information about the land and the people there.
Moreover, they’re clueless of what awaits them when they
cross the river Jordan. There’s a lot of things to be fearful
of. However, sabi ni Lord “Huwag kang matakot” at
ibibigay ko sa iyo ang tagumpay. At ganun nga ang
nangyari.
book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you
shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be
careful to do according to all that is written in it..” Nais mo
buhay.

Daily Devo: Ang dami natin kinatatakutan. At kadalasan,

Sa panahon man

Siya. Nakaalalay at pinagmamasdan ka lagi. Ang

Daily Verse: “To the unmarried and the widows I say that it
is good for them to remain single, as I am. But if they
cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is
better to marry than to burn with passion.” 1 Corinthians
7:8-9 ESV

Daily Devo: When we talk about life in general, there will

always be a place where marriage seems to be a "need"
that all of us should strive to have. It is as if we should be
married to be called "complete," and being single is
equivalent to being lonely.

What should you know about being single?

1. It is not loneliness or being cursed. Everybody has a

choice, and staying single is a decision that will fulfill a
person who wants it. God is a God who gave us what we
need. If you are single right now, that is what you need in
this season, and surely His grace will give you the joy to
finish this season with a victory.

2. Singleness is a testimony of grace. Imagine being

fulfilled with your life with God being your everything? Not
everyone can do that, so if you enjoy this season, know that
you are doing well.

Do not be afraid what will tomorrow bring just because you

see people advancing to the next stages of their lives. You
will always be fulfilled and happy when you learn to trust
God with your heart. He is the source of joy, unspeakable
and unlimited grace. We cannot see what tomorrow will
bring, but what is important is we know who holds every
page of our life—Jesus.

Daily Devo: It's easy to get swayed with whatever romantic

movies you watch online or stories you read in books
because it's just so perfect when the male lead meets the
love of his life, and they eventually get their happy ending.
And you can't help but ask, "Why am I still single?"

You might question why it's taking so long. Why others can
easily be in a relationship, and you didn't even get one.
Why do others make it seem so easy to be in love with the
opposite gender, and you didn't even experience it once.
Why are others not noticing you? Waiting doesn't seem
okay anymore.

You might feel envious of somebody who already has a

partner or someone who found the match for them. But fret
not. Everyone has his timeline, choices, and desires. But at
the top of it, believe that God has a plan for you. God's will
shall always prevail.

Have you ever wondered that God is preparing you before

you actually meet the one who is made just for you? You
need to be equipped first to be able to handle that. And
while in preparation, as you go along according to what
God is telling you to do, you're fulfilling God's purpose for

ESV

Daily Devo: With all the pain, loss, and struggle that you
see today, it’s easy to label this world as a big ball of dirt
destined to ruin.

Looking at the natural can sometimes shake your faith.

“Lord, where are we headed? Is there an end to all of
this?”, you might have asked Him already. But when all
seems lost and you can’t find a reason to praise God
today, go back to the cross.

Go back to the time when humanity was filled with sin,

filth, and even self-righteousness that people were
labelled as God’s enemies. And yet even in the midst of
humanity’s ugliness, God still came down and sacrificed
Himself just to save us and have fellowship with us. He
could have easily wiped us away, but He chose to reach
down for us and provide us a way out of our mess. He
chose to die on our behalf, than to live without us.

To say that God is good won’t even be enough to describe

the fullness of His grace and His kindness towards us.

So if you’ve been grappling with life, and you start to doubt

God’s goodness towards you, go back to the cross and see
His grace poured out in full for you. And when you become
so aware of His goodness, you’ll see a faith that is so firm
that even when the ground beneath you is shaken, you will
never be.

May iba na nawalan

Daily Verse: “For God will bring every deed into judgment,

12:14 ESV

Daily Devo: Doesn't it seem unfair na habang

mag-give in.
And the Bible doesn't contradict
itself. Totoong we are not saved by works, but by faith (see
Ephesians 2:8-9), and through Christ alone.
(see Luke 6:43-45)
Imitating Christ is also your acknowledgement of your
sinful nature, and submission to His Sovereignty.

Again, there's none that you do could save you, but this
would be a living testament of the Grace you received from
Jesus. Kaya nga, gaano man kasama ang mga
nangyayari, you have faith na si Lord pa rin ang may
hawak ng lahat ng bagay. The Lord sees, and nothing is
hidden with Him.
The end
of things doesn't scare you, because you no longer fear
judgement. You do what's right, because you have freedom
to follow His lead and there is now no more condemnation
for you. Where there should have been judgment, Mercy
and Grace were given instead. To those for whom much is
forgiven, much gratitude and humility manifest.

Daily Devo: The world’s normal is already in full contrast to

the will and commandments of God. What is wrong is
being deemed right, and if you stand against the majority
to fight for your beliefs, then you are called a
close-minded hypocrite who doesn’t know how to adapt to
the world’s new demands.

If you have been persecuted, made fun of, and been told
that you are too traditional and you should accept how
ideals have progressed and is being embraced by the
modern society, then stand firm and rejoice. For God said
that there will come a time where wickedness will become
acceptable in the eyes of people, and those who are on His
side will be persecuted. But to those who will strive to do
what is right until the end and does the will of the Father
will be rewarded.

Today, choose to fight for what you know is right, but do it

with grace and with love. Make sure to stand for God, but
avoid condemning those who are lost, for only God has the
right to judge. We are called to resist evil, but love even
those who are stumbling, so that they too will know that
God loves them just as He loved us when we were still
sinners. And by making your love louder, you are

Daily Verse: And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well
have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have
not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
Luke 5:31-32 ESV

purpose ng Kanyang pagparito–to call sinners to
repentance.
nila ang kapatawaran ng Diyos–both the sinners and the
righteous in their own eyes.

Jesus is calling everyone to repentance–to make a radical

turn from one way of life to another, from being “sick” to
being “healed”. Do you recognize that you are also “sick”
and needs the doctor of your soul? God is still inviting you
who is lowly at heart to come to repentance that you may
be “healed”. Di mo kailangang magkunwari at
magmalinis sa Diyos. Kailangan mong magpakumbaba at
kilalaning kailangan mo Siya upang baguhin ka.

Daily Verse: And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well
have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have
not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
Luke 5:31-32 ESV

Daily Devo: If you read the whole chapter of this book, you
will find Jesus visiting the tax collectors and prostitutes, the
thieves and the liars, and all other characters, welcoming
them into God’s presence for forgiveness. I know many of
us will easily question Jesus about it, just like the Pharisees
did. You may ask, why do Jesus continuously show His love
and grace to those unworthy, stubborn sinners? Well, that
is the very reason and purpose why He came to this world,
because of His great love and grace towards us.

In verse 32, it says, “I have not come to call the righteous,

but sinners to repentance.” Do not focus on the word
“righteous” because that’s not us. That unworthy, stubborn
sinner is none other than you and me. Romans 3:10 says,
“There is no one righteous, not even one.” We may not be
tax collectors, but I believe we’ve received more than what
we were supposed to have at some point in our lives. We
may not be a prostitute but having lustful thoughts toward
someone outside marriage is an impurity in the sight of the
Lord. We are all sinners. If we see ourselves as sinners, who
have the sickness of sin, we could ask for healing from our
Great Physician. And it would be easy for us to see that we,
ourselves, also need a Savior. God wants us to fall on our
knees in repentance of our sins, accept Jesus Christ as Lord
and Savior and have a life that reflects His light and brings
glory to His name.

Daily Verse: 2 Corinthians 1:1-7 ESV

25
naging bunga. Ngunit kung iisipin pa nang mas malalim,
mayroon pang ibang kadahilanan tayong mapagtatanto.
Narito ang tatlong “G” sa mga iyon:

1. For us to see our GOAL. Ano ang dahilan mo kung bakit

ka nagpapatuloy? Ano ang iyong layunin sa pananatili
rito?
at halaga.

2. For us to find for His GUIDE.

3. For us to GROW. This is what’s important in life—we seek

growth.
As
you thrive in the testings, you will see that God makes
beautiful things out of the deepest pains and darkest
despair in life. The blooming that comes after the testing is
a testimony that no matter what, His grace will see us
through.

26
Daily Verse: 2 Corinthians 1:1-7 ESV

Daily Devo: Kung papipiliin tayo, madalas gugustuhin

natin ang mga bagay na madali. Meron nabalita
Gayunpaman, it is very important
that we realize the value of struggling. When Paul wanted
to encourage the church in Corinth, sabi niya, ang kanyang
Maraming beneficial purposes ang pagsubok: (1) If we
respond with the correct attitude sa mga trials and
afflictions, this could serve as a powerful testimony of faith
which glorifies the Lord Jesus. (2) It gives us the
opportunity to discover more deeply about the Lord Jesus
Christ–how He has been merciful, good and faithful. Kahit
magpunyagi. (3) It also gives us a deeper understanding
of what other people has gone through. We grow through
empathy kasi na-experience natin yung hirap na
naranasan ng iba (not necessarily the same, but similar).
Empathy is important. It is the first skill of love. So, when
we go through trials and afflictions, let us remember: (1)
Biggest mistakes are complaining, blaming, and running
away. (2) Own it. Then, surrender it to the Lord. (3) Be
thankful. It could have been worse. Still, God is good.

Daily Verse: “Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone

cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24 ESV

'Yun
bang 'ika nila'y "the struggle is real."

On the surface, it would
seem that we're unfortunate beings having to endure it all.
But when you look deeper, even these troubles can be a
part of God's work to help us see that there's beauty in life.

The lessons that testing holds mold you to be the person

God wants you to be. Let the fire harden the clay in you
because that clay is a vessel of God's message. Believe
that the strength and grace that He gave, you've carried
through. The difficulties you had to experience prepared
you to keep holding on to His promises that better days
would come. You've come so far. Life will keep on throwing
us hardships, but there is where God comes. He will help,
He will guide. He didn't say you won't have to go through
rough times, but he said He's there to guide you when they
come.

Of course, you have to minimize the chance of these

problems getting into your life. Make good choices. Make
decisions that agree with God's will. Life will run in its
course, and we are the ones who should adjust and submit
to its laws. Plant good, and you will reap good.

Daily Devo: "Pas-an"

salitang "pasan". Ang iba pang kahulugan nito ay
"karga" at "dala".

At halos

Topic: Bakit mahirap magpatawad?

29
Daily Verse: “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if
you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also
who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark
11:25 ESV

Daily Devo: “Sorry, sana mapatawad mo ako, it’s a

mistake, my apologies.” Madalas nating naririnig ito sa
mga taong nagkakamali, sadya man o hindi. Naging linya
Pero it’s
normal. Normal!!! Normal ang magkamali dahil di naman
tayo ipinanganak na perpekto. But the frequency and
repetition of the same errors means there is something
wrong. But we're not here to judge anyone just because of
their mistakes.

Forgiveness takes time but one thing is for sure, use your
heart, mind and talk to God. He wants us to have inner
peace.
kailangan. All the non-essential things like grudges,
hatred at marami pang negative emotions sa iyo. Si Lord
na ang nagsasabi “iwan mo na yan”.

Life must be celebrated free from anger. God made us as

rational being. Pakawalan mo ang galit, magpatawad,
magdasal. The best thing to do when someone wronged
you is to pray. Praying for yourself is healing and praying
for them is forgiveness.

30
Daily Verse: “You do not have, because you do not ask. You
ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend
it on your passions.” James 4:3 ESV

Daily Devo: You pray and try so much to be good and do

good, all with good intentions and a faithful heart. So why
are your prayers not answered? Before asking why they're
not answered, ask yourself what you're praying for and
why. Will it be truthful to His Word if what you hoped for
was given? Will it bring more good? And most importantly,
is it aligned with His will?

It's a sad truth that even when humans acknowledge God's

sovereignty, there's still that part that we want control.
There's that part of you that longs for a lot of things to be
good—for justice and peace to come, for a greener world
and more comfortable life. But then, even the best
intentions could be misled. This is something that God's
intervention could only fix. Humans must learn to accept
that God's "No" could be a redirection. Taking some time to
answer us means He is still working in and through you.
God's "silence" is still an answer. Remember that His ways
are higher than yours. Besides, didn't He say not to worry
about things because He knows what you need? Matthew
6:33 even says it's His Kingdom (including His will and
direction) that you should seek. Having true faith means
him above all else. A faithful prayer is what leads your
spirit to pray for his will. This is how the holy spirit
intercedes.

Remember what prayer is, which is your way to

communicate with God so that He can align your heart with
His. And never forget that the Lord is Sovereign. Release
the control, and let Him be your God.

Topic: Bakit may panalangin ako na hindi Mo sinasagot?

31
Daily Verse: “And we know that for those who love God all
things work together for good, for those who are called
according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV

He works in ways we
cannot fathom most of the time.

Remember, prayer is a conversation with
God and it's hard to have it with someone who just wants to
talk and does not want to listen.

At kahit ano pa man iyon, matuto
iyo. May you strive to be where God wants you to be.

buhay namin.”
