Introduction
In the realm of popular culture, music has long been acknowledged as a
powerful medium capable of evoking a wide range of emotions. One artist whose
songs consistently resonate with audiences worldwide is Taylor Swift. With her
introspective lyrics and catchy melodies, Swift's music has garnered immense
popularity among various demographics, including young adults. However, the
extent to which her songs influence the emotional states of listeners, particularly
students, remains a subject of intrigue and inquiry. (Huron, 2018

perceptions of students, this study seeks to uncover the nuanced ways in which

The impact of music on emotions, highlighting its potential to elicit
feelings of joy, sadness, nostalgia, and empowerment (Huron, 2018). Moreover,
research within the field of music psychology has emphasized the role of lyrics,
melody, and personal relevance in shaping emotional responses to music (Juslin
& Sloboda, 2018). Building upon this foundation, the present study focuses
specifically on Taylor Swift's repertoire, acknowledging her ability to craft
narratives that resonate with the lived experiences of her listeners.
By illuminating the emotional dynamics at play in the consumption of
Taylor Swift's music among students, this research not only contributes to our
understanding of the interplay between music and emotion but also sheds light
on the cultural significance of Swift's artistry in contemporary society. Through
an exploration of the emotional nuances embedded within her songs, this study
aims to offer valuable insights into the profound impact of music on the

subjective well-being of individuals, particularly within the context of higher
education. Research Objectives
The researchers aim to achieve the following research objectives:
1. To know how Taylors Swift’s song affect student’s emotions
2. To know if students are really are obsessed with taylor swift By just
listening to her music
3. To know how Taylor Swift’s songs helps students to avoid stress by just
listening to her music
Research Questions
The researchers will seek answers to the following research questions:
1. What do you feel when you are listening to Taylor Swift songs?
2. What do you think why some students are obsessed listening to Taylor
Swift ?

3. How Taylor Swift’s songs helps you in reducing your stress?
Literature Review
