Charge Explanations
Service Type Description
Electricity: This is the cost of the electricity supplied to you during this billing period and is the part of the bill that is subject to competition.
Delivery: These are the costs of delivering electricity from generating stations across the Province to Wyse Meter Solutions then to your home or
business. This includes the costs to build and maintain the transmission and distribution lines, towers and poles and operate provincial and
local electricity systems.
A portion of these charges is fixed and does not change from month to month. The rest are variable and increase or decrease depending on
the amount of electricity that you use.
The delivery charge also includes costs relating to electricity lost through distributing electricity to your home or business.* Wyse Meter
Solutions collects this money and pays this amount directly to our suppliers.
*When electricity is delivered over a power line, it is normal for a small amount of power to be consumed or lost as heat. Equipment, such as
wires and transformers, consumes power before it gets to your home or business.
Regulatory Charges: Regulatory charges are the costs of administering the wholesale electricity system and maintaining the reliability of the provincial grid.
OESP: An Ontario Electricity Support Program credit has been applied to this bill. Visit OntarioElectricitySupport.ca for more information.
HST # 832218960 RT0001: Effective July 1, 2010, Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 13% is applied to electricity bills. The implementation of HST is mandated by the
Province of Ontario.
Ontario Electricity Rebate: The Ontario government is providing a rebate on your electricity costs equal to 11.7%.
The disconnection/reconnection of your service requires a professional to visit your building. We recommend that you use the free auto-pay option so that your bill will always be paid on time. Any meter
disputes will be charged at a rate of $75/hr with a 4 hour minimum call out time. If your complaint is substantiated, the charge will not apply. However, should the meter be functioning correctly, the
charges will be applied to your account to cover the cost of sending a technician.
Customers are responsible for all charges until their account is closed. If you are moving please notify our office in writing at least 14 days prior to your moving date; otherwise we cannot guarantee a
timely meter read before you move.
There are regular recurring fees and charges from Wyse included on your bill. For detailed descriptions of these fees and
charges please visit the tenant portal at www.wyseutilities.com and login with your PIN.
