Preface
The book in your hand is from iSMART DigiBook series, whose mission is

TI
to provide students an appropriate English programme enhancing
language skills and equipping essential knowledge of Maths and Science,
in order for them to succeed in the ever-changing 21st century.

The contents of this book will help students learn vocabularies and

CA
adapt them to many different contexts in Maths and Science. The units
outline key concepts and core knowledge of various topics from the
Maths and Science curricula issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of
Education and Training in 2018 and international curricula. Experiments
and practices in this book are also provided in multimedia forms, such as
iSMART Digital Lessons (iDigi) and iSMART Tutoring Online (iTO).
DU
The book’s primary target audience is K-12 students whose English is
an additional language. The book serves as an introductory guide or
reference source to basic Maths and Science terminology.

This edition has been revised based on comments and advice from
teachers, researchers and educators. Without the help of these experts,
TE

we could never have developed such an in-depth presentation of

knowledge in this book. We, at iSMART Education, owe them all
tremendous thanks.

After a long journey, despite numerous obstacles of launching a new

programme to the market, we are now truly proud of the wonderful
achievements our students have gained, both in academic results and
AR

personal growth. Education in the 21st century has evolved to become

something much more than just teaching, and we are honoured to have
played our part in the life-long journey to knowledge of each student.

Once again, thank you for trusting iSMART Education. Let’s have a
great school year!
