ABOUT US
School Of Law JECRC University, Jaipur, Rajasthan is one of the premier University of North India, estab-
lished under The JECRC University Act, 2012 of the Government of Rajasthan. The JECRC Group of Insti-
tutions commenced its journey 21 years ago with Jaipur Engineering College & Research Centre approved by
AICTE and the Government of Rajasthan and now recognized as one of the leading and most preferred higher
education groups of North India. It is our immense pleasure to announce that University has started the School
of Law in 2017 with the approval of Bar Council of India.
It offers five-year integrated degree course leading to the award of degree of B.A LL. B (Hons.), BBA. LL. B
(Hons.) and BSC. LL. B (Hons.) with specialisation in Criminal Law, Corporate Law, and IPR, a two-year LL.M
program at postgraduate level and Ph.D. Program at Doctoral level. JECRC University is driven by the spirit of
innovation-led research. This is spelled out in infrastructure as well as practices. The multifaceted research en-
compasses subject-specific exploration as well as the contexts of the business environment in which our students
will operate and perform. JECRC University is known for its strong research culture and close industry linkages.
Amicus Curiae, a Law club has become a benchmark to improve and advance the knowledge of law among stu-
dents by developing a sense of responsibility toward society and the legal environment. Our club organizes var-
ious activities which are rooted in the needs of budding lawyers & it helps them in the growth of their all-round
development in the field of law. Its sole mission is to spread the knowledge, skills, and ethical values to meet the
demands of the dynamic legal professional environment.

ABOUT WORKSHOP
The New Education Policy (NEP) places a strong emphasis on research, highlighting its pivotal role in
shaping the educational landscape. It says we should not only focus on one subject but try to mix different
topics when doing research. It encourages multi-disciplinary research as well as joint project research be-
tween industry and academia.
To align with the NEP’s vision, it is imperative to proactively initiate research-oriented workshops, con-
ferences, and programs. These initiatives should extend invitations for participation from across the na-
tion, fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach. The overarching aim is to establish School of Law,
JECRC University, Jaipur as a focal point for legal research excellence. This comprehensive approach not
only acknowledges the importance of legal research but also positions School of Law, JECRC University,
Jaipur as a dynamic and influential hub for fostering innovative research endeavors in the field.
The inaugural workshop conducted last year focusing on doctrinal themes was notably successful. Mark-
ing an achievement in its organization, execution, and outcome. The keynote speakers at the workshop in
2022 were:
1. Prof. G.S. Bajpal, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab.
2. Prof. Sanjay K. Sharma, FRSC, Dean of Research at JECRC University, Jaipur.
They added a valuable learning opportunity for the audience and have also provided them with unique
insights and perspectives. This workshop served as a catalyst for continuous scholarly inquiry fostering a
culture of critical thinking, inter disciplinary collaboration, and paradigm-shifting research in the field of
doctrinal thesis. The workshop focuses on teaching participants how to conduct systematic and structured
analyses of legal issues. It emphasizes the importance of research design and methodological rigor in legal
studies. Attendees will learn to formulate research questions, design studies, and apply appropriate meth-
odologies to ensure the credibility and validity of their research.
The workshop was planned into two series i.e., Doctrinal and Non–Doctrinal Legal research. The inau-
gural workshop was conducted in 2022 focusing on doctrinal themes was notably successful, marking an
achievement in its organization, execution, and outcome. It served as a catalyst for continuous scholarly

research in the field of doctrinal theses. The workshop emphasized upon the importance of research de-

their research.
The proposed workshop concentrates on the Non- Doctrinal Legal Research Methodology. This work-
shop primarily addresses practical facets of legal research methodology, emphasizing skill development
over theoretical frameworks. It covers empirical aspects of legal research Methodology such as research
design, data collection, data analysis, and presentation.
