Bachelor in Hospitality Management:

curriculum overview

The bachelor programme at Hotelschool The Hague is designed for


professional, ambitious students who want to succeed in an international
business environment. Leading experts from academia and industry provide
students with hands-on-learning in real-world projects and indispensable
business theory. Our students have diverse cultural backgrounds and form
life-long friendships during their first year on campus. This degree is the ideal
springboard for a successful international career in hospitality and beyond.

Did you know?

At Hotelschool The Hague we follow teaching blocks of


10 weeks each (4 blocks per year). After every block, you have
1 week off. We call this Week 0.

The programme includes two different internships (abroad),


in Year 2 and Year 4. During your internships you will work
in a full service hotel or hospitality related business.
Our Placement Office will support you in finding the most
suitable location.

In your final year you can choose one from 5 minors; future
of business, future of food, future of work, future of guest
experience and future of digitalisation. There is also a study
abroad option!

As part of our bachelor you have the opportunity to follow a


pre-master programme. This gives you direct access to
master programmes at different business universities in
The Netherlands.
The curriculum is built up logically. The first year covers the fundamentals of running a hospitality business, and
by the fourth year students are learning what it takes to innovate the broader hospitality sector. Personal growth
and development are key elements of our programme’s learning process Students work individually but also on
case studies in teams in real-world companies. Our degree programme is taught in English.

Application procedure

Students can choose between two start dates; February and August each year.
Applications open in October every year and close in November (for February
entry) and May (for August entry).
