Context :

This summer, you have taken part to an exchange program organised by WEP, an
organisation in charge of cultural and linguistic exchanges all around the world.
Tell us about your memorable stay in the country of the Commonweath of your choice using
your home-made kamishibai.

MY KAMISHIBAI
1. Definition of Kamishibai :
Kamishibai is a form of narration utilizing visual cards/boards. This come from Japanese Buddhist
temples in the 12th century, where monks utilized emakimono (photo scrolls) to show stories with
moral sessions to a primarily illiterate audience. (Source : Kaizen Institute)

2. Commonwealth - Association of states


Commonwealth, also called Commonwealth of Nations, formerly (1931–49) British Commonwealth
of Nations, a free association f sovereign states comprising the United Kingdom and a number of its
former dependencies who have chosen to maintain ties of friendship and practical cooperation and
who acknowledge the British monarch as symbolic head of their association. In 1965 the
Commonwealth Secretariat was established in London to organize and coordinate Commonwealth
activities.
