ROLL NO: 4
HAL TEJAS
The Tejas is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft
which has a tailless, compound delta wing design with
“relaxed static stability” for enhanced manoeuvrability
and agility. The Tejas is a multi-role combat aircraft
and its flexibility permits it to carry out Interception,
air-to-surface and anti-shipping roles in a single
mission.

1. It is manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics

Limited (HAL) in India.
1. It is the Second Supersonic Aircraft
developed by Hindustan Aeronautics
Limited (HAL)
2. It has three production aircrafts – Tejas
Mark 1, Mark 1A and Tejas trainer/light
attack aircraft.
3. Tejas has eight hardpoints – one beneath
the port-side air-intake, one under the
fuselage (centreline station) and three
hardpoints under each wing, of these,
three are wet hardpoints which can carry
drop tanks

GENERAL
ATOMICS MQ-9
REAPER
The MQ-9 is a larger, heavier, more capable aircraft than
the earlier General Atomics MQ-1 Predator and can be
controlled by the same ground systems consists of
multiple aircraft, ground control station, communications
equipment, maintenance spares, and personnel.

1. It is manufactured by General Atomics Aeronautical

Systems in United States.

2. The Reaper has a 950-shaft-horsepower (712 kW)

turboprop engine (compared to the Predator’s 115
hp (86 kW) piston engine)

3. The aircraft is monitored and controlled, including

weapons employment, by aircrew in the Ground
Control Station (GCS).

4. An MQ-9 can adopt various mission kits and

combinations of weapon and sensor payloads to
meet combat requirements.

XCOR EZ-
ROCKET
XCOR EZ-Rocket was a test platform for the XCOR
XR-4A3 rocket propulsion system. The airplane was a
modified Rutan Long-EZ, with the propeller replaced
by first one, then later a pair of pressure-fed
regeneratively cooled liquid-fueled rocket engines and
an underslung fuel tank.

1. It is manufactured by XCOR Aerospace in United

States.

2. The first flight took place on July 21, 2001, flown

by test pilot Dick Rutan

3. The XCOR EZ-Rocket was used for suborbital

flights and served as a testbed for XCOR
Aerospace’s rocket propulsion technology.

4. It has Twin rocket engines.

• Flight duration of approximately 10-15 minutes per flight, depending on the mission profile.
SUKHOI SU-38
The Sukhoi Su-38 is a Russian agricultural
aircraft, the first aircraft of this type to be
designed and built by the Sukhoi Design
Bureau civil aircraft section (Sukhoi Civil
Aircraft (CJSC)).

1. It is manufactured by
KnAAPO(Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft
Plant), NAPO(Novosibirsk Aircraft
Production Association Plant), Smolensk
Aviation Plant in Russia.

2. The first prototype made its maiden flight

on 27 July 2001, with a second flying by
June 2002.

3. Development was suspended due to

economic problems and restarted in
1998, the aircraft was redesigned,
reducing the aircraft’s size and replacing
the originally planned M-14 radial engine
with a LOM Praha 337S inline engine.
