04 - Kolb's Learning Cycle
04 - Kolb's Learning Cycle
Learning takes place in cycles of action and reflection, which has been described by David Kolb.
Learning through this book requires action based on the principles you have learned. Ask questions and
seek guidance based on real-life experience. Your questions should be based on your own experience
and not purely theoretical.
Learning through action means that you will find real-life problems and sticking points that you can try to
modify or learn from. Take this new-found knowledge and reapply it. Continue the cycle over and over
until you have reached mastery.
Concrete Experience
The first step of learning requires you to acquire new experience, such as experimenting a new way to
open.

Use the feedback report in combination with the information in this book to understand your interaction
on a deeper level. Use this information to discover what you can do better and what to work on the next
night you are out. It might be challenging to understand where you can improve or even what went
wrong in the interaction. Feel free to post feedback reports in the mastermind group to gain an insight
into the abstract principles behind the interactions by one of the instructors or advanced members.
Active Experimentation
Go back out and try to experiment again, this time with your new-found knowledge.
