Journalism aims to develop our learners holistically, not only in
academics but also in gathering and filtering useful information in the
society, it taught learners to be vigilant and careful in expressing their
opinions through facts and expressing them in different media without bias.
In connection with this, four of our young campus journalist were
qualified for the Division Schools Press Conference, Punta Villa Resort, Inc.
at Arevalo, Iloilo City on March 16, 2024. There is a practice that the
delegates together with the coaches and the district journalism coordinator
will travel a day before to ensure quality outputs of the learners during the
Presscon. What happened is, we have not procured a certificate of
appearance due to the following reasons: there is no available Division
personnel available on the 15th of March on the Venue. Secondly, the Venue
cannot issue a certificate of appearance for the coaches for they are not
authorized to do so. Finally , the certificate of appearance given was only
good for one day, which is the day of the presscon.
We would like to request your good office to consider our plea
regarding the discrepancies on our daily time record and honor the following
documents attached ( authority to travel, substitution slip and the
memorandum).
We are hoping for a very favorable response regarding our request .
