SCOPE OF THIRD PARTY INSPECTION

The each Pulley shall be offered for Third party inspection for the following tests. The Third Party Inspection
Agency shall carry out the Inspection of Pulley and pulley shaft as stated below and furnish the original Reports,
certified by the Third Party Inspection Agency and the firm. Third Party Inspection Agency shall submit the Visit
Reports and the Dispatch clearance certificate for the material on satisfying the technical specifications as per P.O.
conditions.

a) Checking of Dimensions as per drawings. The third party inspector shall witness 100% dimensional check.
Deviation if any is observed, the same may be rejected.
b) Ultrasonic testing of 100% area should be conducted in all pulley, pulley shaft and end plates. Test reports in
original should be furnished at free of cost.
c) All Ultrasonic testing shall be conducted in the presence of third party inspection agency for pulley shell, end
plates, and pulley shafts.
d) Witnessing of static balance test
e) Verification of Material Test Certificates for Chemical Composition and Mechanical Properties and Heat
Treatment certificate.

i. A sample for testing chemical composition is to be collected in the presence of third party inspection agency
and authenticated by third party agency and sent to Govt. approved lab assigned by the Manufacturer.
The sample piece is to be kept at manufacturer site for checking at any time by NLC IL official as and
when required. Identification marks of the manufacturer and Third Party on each sample is to be embedded
and proper relevant records for sampling is to be maintained till the completion of purchase order.

ii. MTC furnished by the firm as per MTC clause will be verified and authenticated by the Third Party
Inspection agency for the Material Composition specified in the drawing / technical specification.(Material
to be tested as per MTC clause)

iii. If the sample material fails for the chemical composition, the entire consignment will be summarily
rejected.
