This release supports all SetApp-enabled Residential Inverters up to 15kW and related
devices and batteries.
Supported Inverters:
All SetApp-enabled residential inverters (up to SE15K)
Excluding: Single Phase Inverter with Compact Technology
CPU Version:
4.17.131 or higher for StorEdge Three Phase Inverters and SolarEdge Home Hub
Three Phase Inverters
4.17.221 or higher for all other residential inverters
Multi-inverter sites: Leader inverter has to be a supported inverter.

SolarEdge EV Charger can be paired with the inverter to provide smart energy
capabilities:
SolarEdge Home Wave/Hub Inverters automatically discover SolarEdge EV Charger(s)
installed on the same local network.
When connecting to the inverter with SetApp, SolarEdge EV Charger(s) will be
displayed as newly available devices in the Device Manager screen.
Tapping the Add button will automatically pair the selected SolarEdge EV Charger(s)
to the inverter and register them in the monitoring platform in the same site as the
inverter.
Note:
Baseline Charger FW version should be 1.14 or above to enable inverter pairing. An
automatic FW update is triggered when a new charger is connected to the internet.
Currently a single SolarEdge EV Charger in a site can be paired with the inverter
(multiple chargers to be supported in a future release). Other chargers on site that are
not paired with an inverter should be registered with the monitoring platform manually.
DIP Switch 1.3 of the SolarEdge EV Charger must be set to ON to enable pairing it with
the inverter

Excess PV charging & prioritization

Automatically increases/decreases charging current according to available PV surplus.
Fixed second priority, the home storage takes higher priority (User prioritization will be
supported in a future release)
Note:
Requires Excess PV >6A for 1ph and >3x6A for 3ph charging.
A pre-charge of up to 2 minutes will be performed when the charger is connected to a
car. This pre-charge is used to determine the charging phases and minimal current
required for excess PV charging (1ph at 6A or 3ph at 18A). After the pre-charge stage,
the charger will stop charging until minimal excess PV is available

Charging schedules via mySolarEdge

Charge during low tariff rates, and/or avoid overloads.
Up to 4 weekly schedules at different times and weekdays.
Schedules can be set together with Excess PV charging to ensure mobility needs
while saving costs.
Note:
A pre-charge of up to 2 minutes will be performed when the charger is connected to a car.
This pre-charge is used to determine the charging phases (1ph or 3ph). After the pre-
charge stage, the charger will stop charging until the schedule window.

Known Issues and Limitations

1. Inverter pairing limitations:
a. Baseline Charger FW version should be 1.14 or above to enable inverter pairing.
An automatic FW update is triggered when a new charger is connected to the internet.
b. Currently a single SolarEdge EV Charger in a site can be paired with the inverter
(multiple chargers to be supported in a future release). Other chargers on site that are not
paired with an inverter should be registered with the monitoring platform manually.
c. DIP Switch 1.3 of the EV Charger must be set ON (Up) to enable pairing it with the
inverter.
2. Excess PV charging limitations:
a. A pre-charge of up to 2 minutes will be performed when the charger is connected to a
car.
This pre-charge is used to determine the charging phases and minimal current required for

excess PV charging (1ph at 6A or 3ph at 18A). After the pre-charge stage, the charger will
stop charging until minimal excess PV is available.
b. EV charging has a fixed second priority when installed in sites with a SolarEdge Home
battery.
User prioritization is disabled (it will be supported in a future release)
3. Scheduled charging limitations:
a. A pre-charge of up to 2 minutes will be performed when the charger is connected to a
car.
This pre-charge is used to determine the charging phases (1ph or 3ph). After the pre-
charge stage, the charger will stop charging until the schedule window.

New Features and Enhancements: 4.16.122 (StorEdge Three

Phase Inverters)
Support up to 5 battery modules
Add lock state to SolarEdge Home Battery 48V in case of extreme measurements and
manually release from lock
Support multi-inverter and AC coupled installations
Remove "Communication Enhancement" menu item
Known Issues and Limitations
On AC coupled systems – mode 1 and 2 won’t work and should not be configured
In case there is communication problem between battery modules:
Battery is functioning as expected – no implication to end user
Self-test will pass
Alert to installer is not implemented
“Export limit = 0” (AKA SL0) won’t work on AC coupled systems
Implication on end user – excess PV won’t charge the battery
On monitoring: Energy decrease while battery is charging
No effect on end user – just wrong presentation on monitoring
On low SoC, there are un-necessary force charge events
Occurs on less than 0.5% of installations
Implication on homeowner – No implications

DCDC upgrade may fail when a meter (models below) is connected. In case it fails to
upgrade, there is a need to disconnect the meter, upgrade the DCDC again and then
reconnect the meter
On Wattnode meter – always
On other meters – very rare, less than 0.1%
Battery module on follower inverter will charge/discharge even when communication
loss with Master
Inverter works independently and not as a whole site Msc
Resolved Issues
Sub Giga bug was fixed, no need to change param 430 after installation
Part number and manufacturer fix on monitoring
