My name is Jordan Horn, soon to graduate from Winston Salem State University with a
bachelor's degree in Sport Management. I am writing to you today to come be part of your
Marketing team by becoming one of your associates that helps assist the team with game
presentation, promotional events and activities so I can gain exposure to the sports industry
event planning and execution . I was informed about openings for this job listing from a friend
who currently has a position like this at another organization.

I am interested in this position because not too long ago I was part of a team. I was
formerly part of the Wssu football team for four years. Being part of that team gave me the
qualities of teamwork, discipline, and leadership, which are valuable traits in the professional
world. I am sure employers like yourself appreciate candidates with a sports background for
their ability to handle adversity or challenges which translates well to a lot of job settings.
I am also currently working at the Ymca as a wellness coach where I help members problem
solve and break through barriers in order to achieve personal goals. I also built a lot of
relationships with the members while working here which helped with my people's skills and
understanding how to keep people engaged in wellness. I also have the job to open close to the
facility and coordinate fitness journeys with members.

In conclusion, I am very excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to
the Houston Rockets Marketing team. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how my
experience aligns with your team’s goals in greater detail. I am available through cell phone on
weekdays after 7pm and if willing to meet with me in person I am available to meet on strictly
