Chapter 1351 Terror Struck

Alas, Colton, Finn, and Yuvan’s attacks were all blocked off by the shield
before Jared. Other than the ear-splitting bangs, they didn’t leave a single
scratch on Jared and Cecilia.

At that, the trio’s eyes widened. They didn’t quite know what to do anymore.
“Since you’re so fond of magecraft, wouldn’t I be picking on you if I were to
use a weapon? I’ll use magecraft as well.”

Having said that, Jared abruptly stretched out a hand into the air as he
chanted something or other. A white light spread out from his hand.

Soon, wherever the white light spread, the shattered bricks and tiles on the
ground began to vibrate violently. Then, they slowly condensed together.

In the end, they formed a giant ochre sword in front of Jared.

As he melded his senses with the sword that gave off intense energy, sword
energy enveloped the whole of the Rider residence.

Cut them down!

With a thought from him, a sharp screech rang out from the giant sword
spanning over ten meters. As though having come to life, it shot right at
Colton and the other two men.

Immense sword energy burst out, carrying unparalleled power.

Seeing that, Colton and the others hastily activated their magecraft. Walls of
earth rose before them to block Jared’s attack.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As the series of deafening bangs rang out, the earth wall formed by the trio
couldn’t hold up against the attack from the man’s giant sword. Under the
weapon’s titanic sword energy, it crumbled in the blink of an eye.
Yet, the sword’s momentum remained strong as though desiring to sever the
heavens and earth.

By then, the expressions of Colton and the others were frightfully grim. Cold
sweat trickled down their foreheads, even as they continued chanting
alongside making hand seals.

But no matter the method they employed, they still couldn’t stop Jared’s giant
sword.

“Retreat! Quick, retreat!”

At that turn of events, Colton swiftly ordered the other two men to retreat.

They never expected Jared to be so skilled at magecraft and the giant sword
he formed to have such power.

Bam!

The giant sword slashed a deep ravine in the ground. Although Colton and the
others had hurriedly retreated, the massive recoil still flung them away like
ragdolls, causing them to end up in a pathetic state.

Dust filled the air, and everything formed from rubble disintegrated back into
its initial state at that moment.

The dust slowly dissipated. With Cecilia in his arms, Jared stared at the trio
frostily.

Right then, dust adorned them from head to toe, and blood stained the
corners of their mouths. They looked as pathetic as could be.

Even Desmond, who was a near distance away, wasn’t spared. He was
likewise all dirty.

“I’m not interested in playing with you guys anymore. Be gone.”

After saying that, Jared reached out, upon which Dragonslayer Sword
appeared in his hand instantly.

With the materialization of Dragonslayer Sword, a scorching wave of hot air

swept over everyone there.
Without hesitation, Jared cradled Cecilia in one hand and held the sword in
the other. Taking a step forward, he swung it at Colton, who was closest to
him.

At once, all the hair on Colton’s body stood on end. He had started regretting
ever provoking the man the instant Dragonslayer Sword made its appearance.

But since things had escalated to that point, regret was no longer of any use.
Hence, he could only consolidate the martial energy within him and back away
quickly.

He was exceedingly fast, but he soon realized that he still couldn’t avoid the
sharp sword energy from Jared, regardless of his speed.

His expression became one of horror as his eyes brimmed with terror.

“D-Don’t kill me!’

Terror struck him, and his knees started knocking together.

However, Jared didn’t care about all that. From the moment Colton declared
that Cecilia had already become his woman, he had already sealed his fate.

Whoosh!

As the sword energy swept past, it split Colton’s body in half.

A spurt of crimson jetted into the sky, and the coppery smell of blood lingered
in the air.

Chapter 1352 A Drug

At that moment, the entire world went deathly silent. Everyone’s jaws dropped
open. It was all too shocking that three men had teamed up to kill Jared, yet
the latter managed to kill one of them so easily.

Desmond, especially, had gone weak at the knees then. He instinctively

wanted to flee, but his legs refused to budge. Finn and Yuvan both plunged
into a daze. At the sight of the severed body of the second son of the Rider
family, an icy chill from the depths of their hearts permeated their entire
bodies.

They promptly shuddered and swung their gazes to Jared in sheer horror.
Cecilia was nestled in Jared’s embrace at that moment, and she could sense
the latter’s heartbeat.

She, too, was shocked when she saw Colton split in half by a single blow of
the sword. After all, the Riders were a wealthy family in Wildefield. Yet, Jared
cut Colton down for her sake without fear of offending the Rider family.

A wealth of warmth suffused her, and she burrowed deeper into the man’s
embrace.

“I said earlier that if he touched Ms. Jingle, I’d have the entire Rider family pay
the price with their lives. Now, it’s both your turns.”

Jared regarded the two men coldly.

As the duo sensed the man’s icy gaze, their hearts sank to rock bottom, and
they shivered violently.

They were terrified then, fear striking them the instant Jared split Colton’s
body in half with a single blow of the sword, for it proved that the man wasn’t
the least bit afraid of the Rider family.

Right then, their expressions grew increasingly grim, and their hearts filled
with regret. If we hadn’t stepped out, we wouldn’t have ended up in such a
situation.

“M-Mr. Chance, it was Colton who touched Lady Jingle. Even though he was
the second son of the Rider family, he played the field. Now that his father
isn’t here, we couldn’t stop him from doing whatever he wanted. Since he’s
now dead, I hope you’ll spare the Rider family, Mr. Chance.”

Finn started imploring Jared for mercy.

Colton Rider is dead, but he deserved it. If he hadn’t provoked this man for the
sake of a woman, the Rider family wouldn’t be on the brink of ruination!

“Yes, yes, it was all Colton’s doing. It had nothing to do with us. He’s dead
now, so please spare us.”
Following suit, Yuvan hastily begged Jared for mercy.

Meanwhile, Desmond wore an incredulous expression at their words. He

never expected the subordinates of the Rider family to have the guts to speak
of Colton in such a manner.

However, it also proved that those of the Rider family seemingly didn’t quite
like Colton.

“As I said, if he dared touch Ms. Jingle, I’d have the entire Rider family pay the
price with their lives. If you two were to take your lives now, you’d be spared
from much pain.”

Jared’s indifferent voice was devoid of emotion.

Since Colton dared to sully Cecilia, I’ll never allow the Rider family off the
hook.

“How dare you?”

Finn and Yuvan’s faces flushed bright red with fury.

Not only have we humbled ourselves and beseeched him for mercy, but
Colton is also dead. Must he wipe out the Rider family?

Jared eyed them frostily with the sword in hand. “Are you ready to die?”

“Don’t think that we’re really afraid of you, Jared. We simply don’t want both
parties to suffer devastating losses. But since this is the case, don’t blame us
for giving it our all!”

Finn let out a roar, his expression contorting into a mask of madness.
Whipping out a red vial, he unscrewed the cap and poured the liquid in it down
his throat.

Jared frowned upon glimpsing the vial in Finn’s hands, for he detected a
manic smell that carried a rotting stench the instant the man unscrewed the
cap.

An ordinary martial arts family wouldn’t possibly create such a drug. Could it
be that the Rider family has become Demonic Cultivators?
While he was dwelling upon it, Finn’s body expanded significantly. Ripping
sounds rang out as the clothes on his body tore, revealing his bulging
muscles. His chest puffed up, and his aura started running wild.

Chapter 1353 Regret

Currently, Finn looked like a beast in human form with slightly protruding eyes,
which made him appear terrifying. When Cecilia saw that, she got scared and
quickly buried her head into Jared’s chest.

Fear and uneasiness swirled in Yuvan’s eyes as he glanced at Finn. There

was hesitation on his face. “What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for us
to get killed?” Finn turned to Yuvan, his voice as loud as a tower bell.

A frenzied look was present in his eyes. With a resigned sigh, Yuvan pulled
out the same red liquid bottle, popped it open, and drank its contents. Soon,
his body transformed until he looked similar to Finn.

Mockery was present in Jared’s eyes as he stared at the two monsters in front
of him. “If you’re powerless, nothing will make you more capable. Even if you
two ate a pill that makes you immortal, you still can’t escape your death.” he
sneered.

At the moment, he was a Martial Arts Marquis. Inside his body was Nascent
Soul, which would prevent him from dying and growing old if it wasn’t
destroyed.

That was his greatest asset. After he had a battle with Zion and experienced
what it was like to come back to life, he became much more confident.

“Okay then, let us show you just how powerful we are!” A wretched expression
appeared on Finn’s face before he pounced toward Jared with Yuvan.

Their speed had increased by multiple times compared to before.

As for Jared, he calmly curled his fingers into a fist and enveloped it with the
Power of Dragons. His fist began exuding a destructive aura and glowing in a
golden light. The light was so brilliant that it made the world seem like it had
lost its colors.

He was going to use a single punch to attack the two of them.

“Sacred Light Fist!” Following his furious roar, a terrifying power began to
spread out from him.

Even the other mansions in the Rider residence’s grounds began to shake
and crumble.

Slowly, those mansions collapsed one by one, including those that were
hundreds of meters away.

In an instant, the entirety of the Rider residence became ruins.

Finn and Yuvan were shocked upon seeing that.

From their perspective, they saw only a golden fist growing bigger endlessly,
as though it was going to cover up the sky.

The moment they sensed an aura of death, they were panic-stricken and
quickly used all their might to deliver a punch. Concurrently, they used martial
energy to form a shield around them to protect themselves.

Boom!

In the next second, however, Jared’s devastating punch smashed through

their shield and landed on Finn’s body.

Poof!

In an instant, Finn’s body turned into a cloud of red, bloody mist. There
weren’t even any chunks of flesh left of him.

That scene bewildered Yuvan as his body was covered in Finn’s blood. He
just stood there, dumbfounded.

In a distance, Desmond fell to the ground before yellow liquid flowed out of his
crotch.
Quickly, Yuvan returned to his senses. Even after drinking the drug, we’re still
powerless before Jared! I need to ignore the rest of the Rider family and
escape right now!

When his train of thought ended there, he twirled and ran. His desire to
survive was so strong that he wished he could instantly grow a hundred feet.

Staring at the escaping enemy, Jared sneered and leaped into the air while
still carrying Cecilia in his embrace.

Then, he struck Yuvan with his palm. The moment Yuvan jumped up, his body
exploded in midair, causing blood to rain down.

The thick scent of blood was sickening.

Once again, Cecilia buried her head into Jared’s embrace.

Desmond was flabbergasted and regretful. If there’s a time machine in this

world, I’m willing to buy it no matter the cost!

Chapter 1354 Lie

At that moment, Desmond hated himself for losing his rationality and betraying
Cecilia. If he could still ally himself with Crimson Palace, there was no way
Divine Beast Sect wouldn’t develop substantially with how powerful Jared
currently was.

However, it was too late for that. Jared approached Desmond and stared at
the latter coldly. In response to Jared’s icy gaze, Desmond trembled even
more violently.

Then, the latter began to grovel at Jared’s feet. “I’m sorry, Mr. Chance. I was
wrong. I was really wrong. It’s my fault for losing my rationality. I was forced
by Colton, too. Please don’t kill me, Mr. Chance. I’m willing to do anything you
want. Anything you want at all…”
He continued groveling and begging for mercy as Cecilia lifted her head from
Jared’s embrace. After asking Jared to put her down, she stood and glared at
Desmond viciously.

“Slimy little men like you who rely on more powerful people are the most
despicable, Desmond. Here I thought you were a good man…” She hated him
more than Colton. If it weren’t for Desmond, who abused her trust in him,
Colton wouldn’t have gotten what he wanted.

“I was wrong, Lady Jingle. I know that now. Please, forgive me. I won’t do it
again…” Desmond started crying.

The disdain in Jared’s eyes increased as he stared at the pathetic man coldly.

At first, he thought Desmond was a pretty good man. After all, Desmond said
he couldn’t ignore Richard’s heinous acts any longer and killed the latter.

Yet, when he became the leader of the Divine Beast Sect, he started acting
just like Richard.

It was possible that his true nature didn’t reveal itself until he occupied a high
enough position.

“Trash,” Jared sneered before kicking something.

A sharp piece of tile on the ground swiftly pierced through Desmond’s neck.

Desmond held his neck with both his hands, wanting to say something but no
longer able to. Moments later, he collapsed on the ground, dead.

It wasn’t until Cecilia saw Desmond’s corpse that her rage was quelled.

“Let’s go, Jared.” At that point, she was calling Jared by his name instead of
Mr. Chance.

That might’ve shown just how much their relationship had improved.

However, Jared didn’t notice anything and spoke. “I said it before. I’ll make
everyone in the Rider family suffer if Colton touched you.”

Her face flushed. “What are you saying? Colton didn’t touch me at all. I’m
fine.”
He was stunned. “But he said you have already become his woman.”

“You dummy. Why do you believe him and not me?” She rolled her eyes. “We
should leave quickly. Otherwise, Millie’s going to die from a panic attack.”

After Cecilia finished speaking, she took two steps forward. However, her
body hadn’t fully recovered yet, so she almost fell down.

Fortunately, Jared moved quickly and held her. “I think it’s better if I carry you
back.”

With Cecilia in his arms, he speedily returned to Crimson Palace.

Millie was waiting anxiously at the entrance of the building.

It was only natural since she still hadn’t received any news about her sister,
despite the fact that it was almost dawn.

Just as her anxiety was reaching its limit, a figure suddenly appeared. Soon,
she saw Jared returning with Cecilia.

Seeing them together stunned Millie because, at that moment, she noticed
Cecilia was wrapping her arms around Jared’s neck. The duo looked pretty
intimate.

Since they had arrived at Crimson Palace, Cecilia whispered to Jared. “Put
me down, quickly.”

After all, she was the leader of Crimson Palace. Her reputation would be
affected if she was seen acting so intimately with a man.

When Jared placed her back on the ground, she tidied her clothes before
walking toward Crimson Palace.

Chapter 1355 Nothing Left

Millie strode toward Cecilia and asked, “Are you all right, Cecilia?”
“I’m fine, thanks to Jared. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to return at
all.” She then glanced at Jared affectionately.

Millie saw her sister’s expression and smiled mischievously. “I suppose I need
to thank Jared for bringing you back safely. No, wait. I think I should
acknowledge him as my brother-in-law…”

Hearing that instantly made Cecilia blush. She shot a glare at her sister. “You
d*mn brat. What are you saying? I’m going to give you a beating…”

She then chased Millie into the building while Jared followed them in with a
faint smile.

They didn’t get any rest throughout the whole night, so they fell asleep pretty
quickly.

After the sun rose high in the sky, many people were spotted staring at the
ruins of the Rider residence and talking about it.

The martial arts families were especially shaken by what they saw. They had
no idea who was powerful enough to do that in a single night.

When the leader of the Rider family, Tobias, saw his brother’s corpse and his
destroyed home upon returning, he became furious. “Who did this? I’m going
to tear him to pieces!”

He stared at the sky and roared as terrifying murderous intent rushed out of
his body.

As a Martial Arts Marquis, Tobias often only cared about looking for cultivation
resources and rarely paid attention to what was going on in his family.

He didn’t expect to see his home in ruins when he came back.

After all, the Rider family was a pretty powerful martial arts family in
Wildefield.

“Who’s the one who had such deep-seated hatred toward the Rider family?
Not only did they kill my brother, but they also destroyed the Rider residence!”
Tobias questioned loudly.

“It’s someone from Crimson Palace, Mr. Rider.” A servant of the Rider family
spoke as they kneeled tremblingly in front of him.
“Crimson Palace?” Tobias frowned. “How can Crimson Palace be powerful
enough to destroy the Rider residence? Even if Cecilia personally came here,
there’s no way she has enough strength to kill my brother and destroy the
residence! Where are Finn and Yuvan? I asked them to protect this place, so
where did they go?”

Before Tobias left, he specifically asked Finn and Yuvan to protect the
residence because he knew his lustful brother would cause lots of trouble.

So, when the two of them didn’t show up even though the Rider residence
was in ruins, he was pretty pissed.

The servant promptly replied, “Finn and Yuvan are both dead, Mr. Rider…”

“Dead?” Tobias was stunned. “Where are their bodies?”

“There’s nothing left of them. Even after they used the strength enhancement
drug, they still couldn’t win. Both of them exploded into red mist after the
person from Crimson Palace attacked them.” Thinking about the battle from
last night still made the servant tremble in fear.

“What?” Tobias’ expression darkened immediately.

He didn’t expect Crimson Palace to have such a powerful expert.

It didn’t make sense to him because if that expert really were a member of
Crimson Palace, the sect wouldn’t have been relatively unknown in the
Southwest Region for a long time.

“Tell me exactly what happened. Also, what’s the deal with Desmond’s
corpse?” He couldn’t make sense of what had happened. What happened
while I was gone? Also, why did so many people from Sacred Beast Sect die
in the residence?

Soon, the servant told him everything that had happened.

However, the servant didn’t know the attacker from last night was Jared. He
only knew someone was there to save Cecilia, so he thought Jared was from
Crimson Palace.
Tobias, on the other hand, didn’t think that was the case because he knew
basically everyone who was as powerful as Jared in Southwest Region, which
wasn’t a lot and none of them were in Crimson Palace.

“Gather the men immediately! We’re going to visit Crimson Palace. No matter
who’s the one that did this, they are going to pay!” He gritted his teeth while
murderous intent shone in his eyes.

Chapter 1356 Monstrous

Meanwhile, inside the Deragon residence at Jadeborough, Ryker was staring

at his son, Edgar, with a complicated expression.

Edgar’s body had rotted a lot and was accompanied by a putrid smell. If he
weren’t covered by clothing, the sight of him would probably shock a lot of
people to death.

Just a glance at his son was enough for the knowledgeable Ryker to know
what was going on. “What’s going on, Edgar? Where’s your master?” he
asked.

“My master is already dead, Dad. However, he did pass all of his powers to
me. Now that I’m a Martial Arts Marquis, it won’t take long before no one in
the Jadeborough martial arts world can defeat me,” Edgar informed
confidently.

An indescribable feeling surfaced in Ryker’s heart when he saw Edgar like

that.

From a certain point of view, it could be said that the person in front of him
wasn’t his son anymore, but that might not be entirely true.

“Why are you possessed by a spirit, Edgar?” Ryker didn’t understand how his
son turned out like that under Derrell’s protection.

“It’s all because of Jared, Dad. If not for him, my body wouldn’t have become
like this. Master Derrell couldn’t treat my condition at all. I don’t want to spend
my whole life lying on a bed. I wanted to find Jared and take my revenge!
Sadly, he’s already dead. It’s my greatest regret that I can’t kill him myself.” A
cruel look flashed past Edgar’s eyes.

He very much wanted Jared to experience what it was like to be crippled.

“Jared’s not going to die that easily!” Ryker uttered plainly.

“What? He didn’t die? I thought President Zeigler said he killed Jared himself.”
Surprise was written all over Edgar’s face.

“He’s definitely still alive. Not a lot of people know about his secrets, but I’m
one of the few.” Ryker’s eyes narrowed, his face filled with worry.

“That’s great news! This means I can kill Jared myself!” Edgar said excitedly.

While he was excited, Ryker was worried. “There are some things that you still
don’t know, Edgar. Let me tell you about it…”

The moment he got close enough to Ryker, he suddenly slapped the latter.

He wanted to force the spirit out of Edgar’s body. Even crippled, Edgar was
still his son. However, at that moment, all that was left of Edgar was a body.

While Edgar could still control his brain and thoughts, once the spirit had
grown powerful enough, it would take full control of Edgar’s body and mind.

Ryker didn’t want his son to become the property of a monstrous thing.

That act shocked Edgar. “What are you doing, Dad?” He backed away
reflexively.

The moment he took a step back, his eyes glowed brightly. In an instant, the
aura surrounding his body changed.

“You old b*stard. Trying to hurt me, are you?” Edgar’s mouth garbled out a
weird, ancient voice.

Then, his withered hands attempted to grab Ryker.

Ryker defended himself, but he didn’t dare use all his power, fearing that it
would end up hurting Edgar’s body.

The moment he tried to do that, Edgar’s other hand clasped onto his neck.
A suffocating sensation instantly rushed up Ryker’s brain.

“Today, I shall suck away all of your power…” Then Edgar placed his hand on
top of Ryker’s head.

Soon, Ryker felt as though the power in his body was rapidly disappearing.

Out of nowhere, Edgar let go of his father and exclaimed, “Stop! Stop!”

He was trying to fight against the spirit over control of his body.

“If you try to hurt my father again, I’ll make sure you won’t have a body left to
use, even if it means I’ll die with you!” After he loudly threatened the spirit, the
latter became silent.

Then Edgar turned to his father. “Are you all right, Dad?”

Staring at Edgar, Ryker sighed heavily. “Don’t worry, Edgar. I promise I’ll turn
you back to normal.”

When he finished speaking, he whirled and headed to the secret chamber of

the Deragon residence.

He was going to force Beatrice to tell him the secret he wanted to know.

Because, at that moment, the secret wasn’t just related to the Deragons’
survival, but it was also tied directly to Edgar’s life.

Chapter 1357 Showed Up

Even though the sun was beaming over Crimson Palace from high up in the
sky, Jared and the others were still sleeping. After all, none of them got a
good rest last night. Rumble…

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard. Soon, the large stone in front of Crimson
Palace was shattered into dust. That caused the illusion spell protecting
Crimson Palace to vanish instantly.
That noise woke Jared and the others up. Cecilia promptly brought her people
to the entrance. Jared followed too. When they arrived, they saw Tobias
standing at the entrance with people from the Rider family while glaring at the
Crimson Palace.

Murderous intent exploded from Tobias’ body. Everyone shook a little when
they sensed that murderous intent. By that point, Cecilia’s body hadn’t fully
recovered yet. When she saw Tobias at her doorstep with his people, her
expression darkened.

Upon regaining her composure, she asked, “Why have you come to the
Crimson Palace so aggressively, Mr. Rider?”

“Cecilia, you b*tch! Stop pretending and tell me who killed my brother and
destroyed the Rider residence! Get him out here now!” Tobias was certain it
wasn’t done by her because he knew she wasn’t that powerful.

In response, she frowned. “Mr. Rider, your brother worked together with
Desmond to drug me. He wanted to violate me, but now he’s dead. It’s his
own fault.”

The fury in Tobias’ heart burned even brighter when he heard that. “So, you’re
saying you’re not going to hand that person over to me, eh, Cecilia? In that
case, I shall kill everyone in Crimson Palace to avenge my brother!”

When he finished speaking, the aura on his body instantly expanded. Waves
of pressure were sent toward the Crimson Palace crowd.

Some of the weaker disciples began vomiting blood as their faces turned pale.

When Jared, who had been standing behind, sensed Tobias’ aura, his
expression became serious. It seems like Tobias is about as powerful as Zion.
I didn’t expect someone as powerful as him exists in Southwest Region.

“I’m the one who killed your brother. The others have nothing to do with this.”
He released his own aura to counter the oppressive one from Tobias.

That allowed the Crimson Palace crowd to breathe again.

Jared slowly walked toward Tobias before standing in front of the latter.
“It’s him, Mr. Rider! He’s the one who killed Mr. Colton…” The servant of the
Rider family spoke agitatedly when he recognized Jared.

“Impressive. Despite your young age, you’re already this powerful. Who’s your
master? Which family do you belong to?” Tobias never really paid attention to
the martial arts forum because he was too busy cultivating. Hence, he didn’t
know who Jared was.

Although, he was afraid that someone or something powerful was backing

Jared up because of how powerful the latter was at such a young age.

Even though the Rider family was a prominent family in Wildefield and even in
the Southwest Region, they weren’t that impressive outside of their territory.

That was especially the case when they were compared to the families in the
martial arts world of Jadeborough. All of those families had backgrounds so
powerful that Tobias wouldn’t dare to piss them off.

“My name is Jared Chance,” Jared informed coldly.

“Jared?” In response, Tobias frowned as he tried to recall anything associated

with the name. Then his eyes lit up. “Oh, I remember now. You’re the guy who
killed David, right?”

“That’s right.” Jared nodded.

“Don’t think just because you’re hot sh*t in Jadeborough means you can do
whatever you want here. Since you admitted to my brother’s murder, I’m going
to take your life as punishment!” When Tobias finished speaking, he jumped
into the air.

Boom!

A terrifying shockwave created by a palm strike rained down on Jared from

above.

“Sacred Light Fist!” Jared roared and punched.

Chapter 1358 Want To Escape

Jared’s powerful astral fist rushed toward the sky. Sacred Light Fist was an
attack that could split even the sky. It wasn’t just an ordinary technique
anymore. It was a manifestation of unwavering will and supreme battle spirit.

When combined, the attack’s power was unparalleled. Boom! The explosion
was so loud that it sounded as though the sky was cracking apart. The
shockwave from that powerful attack instantly splashed out in all directions.

“Bring everyone into the palace right now, Ms. Jingle!” Jared roared. He knew
his battle against Tobias would create massive amounts of shockwaves, and
he was afraid those shockwaves would be too much for the people of Crimson
Palace to bear.

“Jared, I…” Staring anxiously at Jared, Cecilia was afraid he wouldn’t be able
to defeat Tobias. She was aware of how powerful Tobias was. “Leave now! If
you stay here, it’ll only distract me. Leave far away!” Exasperation filled his
eyes as he gazed at her.

When she saw that, she gritted her teeth and guided the people of Crimson
Palace back into the building. All of them could only watch him battle against
Tobias in the distance.

The two combatants’ initial attacks made the spot Jared was standing on
covered in dust and smoke, looking as though a sandstorm was raging.

Even the entire Crimson Palace shook as if it would crumble at any

moment. The power generated from the battle between the two Martial Arts
Marquis was too great.

Observing that, Jared jumped toward the mountain at the back. He wanted to
lure Tobias away to prevent the battle from destroying Crimson Palace.

After all, not only was that place Cecilia’s hard work, but it was also the home
of Crimson Palace’s disciples. If it was destroyed, it couldn’t be rebuilt in a
short amount of time.
“Trying to escape, are you?” Tobias sneered before following Jared.

In a flash, he appeared in front of Jared.

A cold and sinister aura emanated from his body.

Even Jared couldn’t stop a chill running down his spine.

Without saying another word, Tobias punched Jared violently.

That punch caused a thunderclap and the environment to change. It appeared

as though it was the end of the world.

As Millie and Cecilia stared at the terrifying scene at the mountain, their fists
tightened as they were worried about him.

When Jared saw that, his body started to glow in gold. Golem Body’s power
was brought to its fullest extent while the Power of Dragons continued to
spread out from his body. “Sacred Light Fist!”

The moment he swung his punch, an enormous amount of energy from his fist
exploded in an instant.

Boom!

When both combatants’ dominating aura clashed against each other, it

created a thundering sound.

The entire mountain began to shake. Rocks were flying, and the land was
trembling.

There was a person in black clothing sitting cross-legged inside a cave on the
mountain. Charms were affixed all over the cave as though they were used to
form an arcane array.

The sudden shaking of the mountain caused the rocks inside the cave to fall
and the arcane array to break down.

The man in black frowned. “What’s going on outside? Has someone found me
here?”

He stood up before instantly jumping out of the cave and hiding behind a giant
rock.
The second he saw Jared, a look of surprise appeared in his eyes.

Currently, Jared appeared pretty wretched.

He looked disheveled, his body was covered in specks of dust, and there was
blood at the edge of his mouth. Clearly, he was injured.

As for his legs, they were buried pretty deep into the ground.

Cracks were seen on the ground around his legs. It was a haunting sight.

“You may be powerful, but you’re not good enough! Kneel down now and die!”
Tobias stared at his opponent coldly. Then he stepped forward before his
body exploded with an even more ghastly aura.

It was mighty, immeasurable, and unparalleled.

Jared felt as though a mountain was pressing down on him, trying to make
him kneel.

That overwhelming pressure was making him tremble.

Chapter 1359 Not That Powerful

Cracking sounds could be heard coming from Jared’s bones. He could feel his
bones were on the verge of being crushed. Drops of blood appeared on his
skin. The pressure was so great that it destroyed the blood vessels on his
skin.

Even though Jared’s body was tough, it was still fragile when facing Tobias’
pressure. Jared’s situation had instantly turned perilous. If he wasn’t careful,
he was probably going to die. Tobias is too strong! He’s at least a middle-
phase Martial Arts Marquis.

Even if Jared was extraordinarily powerful, he still couldn’t defeat Tobias

because the difference between them was simply too large.
The higher the cultivation level was, the greater the difference between each
level became, and the more impossible it was for the weak to defeat the
strong.

Even though Jared had just become a Martial Arts Marquis, the gap between
his and Tobias’ strength was still massive.

He didn’t even try to dodge Tobias’ aura because he couldn’t. If he tried to, he
would only suffer more damage. Thus, he decided to face Tobias head-on
instead.

At that point, blood had almost covered Jared’s entire body.

Despite that, he was still standing straight.

If it were anyone else, they would’ve been kneeling on the ground when faced
with that terrifying pressure. At worst, they would’ve died after their body
exploded.

The fact that Jared still wasn’t dead surprised Tobias.

“You don’t deserve to make me kneel!” Out of nowhere, two golden balls of
flame burst out of Jared’s eyes.

Behind his back was the faint figure of a domineering golden dragon with
peerless elegance.

The golden dragon inside Jared was once again activated when he was on
the verge of death.

At that moment, it was as though Jared had become an overpowering and

inviolable emperor.

Boom!

An overwhelming power exploded from his body, allowing him to break free
from Tobias’ oppressive aura forcefully.

“What is this? Who are you?” Tobias’ expression changed.

The moment the golden dragon appeared, it induced such an overwhelming

fear inside him that he almost couldn’t resist submitting himself to Jared
despite his strong willpower.
Concurrently, the man in black hiding behind a big rock widened his eyes in
terror after he saw the golden dragon behind Jared.

“Jared’s the son of a dragon?” he muttered, his back drenched in sweat.

Jared, on the other hand, was staring at Tobias coldly and sneered, “Seems
like you aren’t that powerful, after all.”

Then he moved his arms silently before the golden dragon flew into the sky.

His arms continued to move before instantly unleashing a spiritual attack.

Brilliant light instantly exploded from the golden dragon’s body.

Roar!

The golden dragon let out an earth-shaking roar as all the spiritual energy in
its body exploded outward.

Subsequently, it spat out a mouthful of spiritual energy. That energy instantly

materialized into an astral fist.

That astral fist was as green as an emerald and appeared crystal clear.
However, a breathtaking amount of energy was hidden inside it.

Then, the golden dragon moved and caused the green astral fist to fly toward
Tobias.

“Sacred Light Fist!” At the same time, Jared also attacked.

He crouched down slightly, drew a semi-circle with his left hand, and punched
outward with his right fist.

At first, there was only a little bit of golden light on his fist. Then, as his palm
moved forward, the golden light became brighter.

In the end, the golden light suddenly turned unbearably bright before
transforming into a giant golden fist.

That fist grew to one meter square large, looking like a giant boulder.

Light was swirling on his fist and glowing brightly. It appeared very intimidating
and mysterious.
Rumble!

Both the green astral fist and the golden fist flew toward Tobias with a
thunderous roar.

Both fists appeared very fierce and dominating, as though they could destroy
any obstacles, even if there were a mountain blocking their way.

“Not bad! No wonder you could kill David. I knew you had some tricks up your
sleeve!” Tobias was slightly surprised, but only just a little. He still didn’t
regard Jared as a threat.

As he spoke, he stretched his palms out and used his bare hands to take on
Jared’s giant fists. A white light started glowing in his palms.

Boom! Two earth-shattering explosions were heard. Suddenly, a small

mountain nearby collapsed. “Take this!” Tobias’ indifferent voice was heard
before a palm strike from him was sent flying toward his opponent.

Bam!

The moment he unleashed that attack, both the wind and clouds moved.

It traveled toward Jared with the staggering force of a tsunami.

That palm contained an unlimited amount of terrifying energy. Ordinary martial

artists would’ve turned to dust upon impact.

Jared felt threatened by that, too.

His expression turned grave.

He roared with rage as his hands exploded into action, forming hand seals
faster than the naked eye could follow.

In a blink of an eye, he gestured thirty-six hand seals to form a shield in front

of him.
The golden dragon that was hovering in the air radiated with golden light.

After releasing a roar, it flew toward Tobias.

Whoosh!

The light intensified before the golden dragon erupted with an incomparably
dense white light.

Its spiritual energy was also pushed to the extreme.

A series of dragon roars were heard.

However, the golden dragon’s attack also consumed Jared’s spiritual energy.
In an instant, half of his spiritual energy was depleted.

“Kill!” he screamed furiously.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three frightening explosions were heard.

The golden dragon’s body smashed into Tobias, instantly blocking his
startlingly powerful attack.

However, the golden dragon also disappeared into bits of golden light after the
assault.

While Tobias’ attack was weakened by the golden dragon’s intervention, it still
had enough power to fly straight toward his opponent.

Boom!

A fourth explosion was heard. Despite that, Jared remained unmoved. His
newly manifested shield negated the attack completely.

“Seems like I’ve underestimated you, brat! Although, I’m curious if you can
take on a couple more attacks from me!” As Tobias spoke, he prepared his
second assault.

Jared’s expression changed. The golden dragon attack he unleashed earlier

almost drained all the spiritual energy in his body. It would be a difficult task if
he had to defend himself against Tobias’ attack again.
Upon biting the tip of his tongue, a drop of blood dripped out of his mouth.
Then he spat out a blood mist.

The blood mist was swiftly absorbed by Jared’s body.

In an instant, his aura became incredibly powerful. The blood in his body
burned intensely.

“Slash!” With an angry roar, he summoned the Dragonslayer Sword.

Its fiery brilliance shot through the sky and illuminated the land.

Following that, the sword energy it produced slashed toward the gust of wind
created by Tobias’ palm strike.

Crack!

The attack was split in half.

However, the sword energy continued traveling toward Tobias at full speed.

“I can’t believe you’re actually burning your blood essence. It seems like I
can’t let you leave alive today!” Tobias’ expression changed lightly.

With a spin of his hand, a sharp sword abruptly appeared.

The sharp blade gleamed with cold light. Even at a glance, anyone could tell it
was a powerful magic sword.

In that instant, he stabbed the sword forward.

His sword moved slowly but heavily, as though the thing he was holding was a
heavy mountain instead of a blade.

Ding!

A soft sound was heard.

As though the world was slowing down, Jared saw Tobias’ sword energy
clashing against the sword energy from Dragonslayer Sword.

His expression changed drastically because he didn’t expect his opponent to

block that attack so easily. Tobias is too powerful!
