The Plassey controversy marked a clear victory for the British East India Society under the

leadership of Robert Clive over the Nawab of Bengal and his French accomplices on June 23,
1757. This victory was made possible by the absence of Mir Jafar and Nawab Siraj Woods. Leader
of Daura. This battle helped the British take control of Bengal in 1772. Over the next 100 years, they
continued to expand their control over vast areas of the rest of the Indian subcontinent, including
Burma. The battle took place at Parasi, on the banks of the Hooghly River, about 150 kilometers (93
miles) north of Calcutta (gradually from Calcutta) and south of Murshidabad in West Bengal, then the
capital of Bengal Suba. I was disappointed. The belligerents were the British East India Society and
the last free Nawab of Bengal, Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula. He succeeded Alivardi Khan (his maternal

Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula and the Dal Opening Butchers. The British, under the command of Colonel
Robert Clive and naval officer Charles Watson, sent a fort from Madras to Bengal to retake
Calcutta. Clive then took action to capture the French fort of Chandernagar.[3] Tensions and
problems between Siraj-ud-Daula and the British ended with the Battle of Plassey. This battle was in
demand during the Seven Years' War (1756-1763), when the French East India Company (La
Compagnie des Indes Orientales) [1] set up specific detachments to fight the British as part of the
