Step by step work instruction


The operation can only be proceeded with a windspeed lower than:
► 20m/s

The temporary lifelines in the lower/middle sections shall be disassembled after the final lifeline has
been mounted and certified

Start dismounting the lifeline from middle section below top section

Release the bottom support of the lifeline after releasing the lifeline and tensioner.

2.1. Dismounting the temporary lifeline. Supplier “Somain”

Step 1
Remove bottom support of the lifeline:
1. Stand at the bottom of the ladder.
2. Release the locknuts (A) of the tensioner
• Turn the nut until it touches the ends of the tensioner.
• Use a 19 mm combination wrench.
3. Check that the U-bolts of the lifeline are still tightened after loosening the tensioner.
4. Release tension:
• Turn the female threaded piece (B) to its maximum length.
• Use an adjustable wrench
5. Remove the tensioner (C) (completely open) to the bottom support (D):
• Release the bolt joint between the elements (C and D)
• Use an adjustable wrench and a 17 mm combination wrench.
6. Remove the bottom support
• Use an adjustable wrench and a combination wrench

Step 1

A: Tensioner locknuts E: Support most common fastening


B: Turn the female threaded piece F: Support fastening on two bars
C: Tensioner G: Support most compact fastening
D: Bottom support

Step 2
Remove upper support of the provisional lifeline:
1. Stand at the top of the service ladder
2. Secure the upper support of the lifeline (A) during disassembly:
• Hang the upper support using the sling (D), on the lower fastening point of the spring.
• Pull the loose end of the sling to secure the hanging.
• Join the loose end of the sling to the nearest top ladder support (B) using a shackle (C) or
anchorage point (E) using a carabiner (F) or a shackle.
3. Remove the lower support from the upper support.
• Remove the pin (G)
4. Put the upper support on the platform
5. Gather the cable
6. Release the sling.

Lower the lifeline to the bottom platform:

Repeat steps 1, step 2, step 3 and step 4 to dismount the temporary lifeline from all the tower sections
(unless the top section)

2.2. Dismounting the temporary lifeline. Supplier “Aguerri”


Step 1
Remove the tensioner of the bottom support of the lifeline:
1. Stand at the bottom of the ladder section
2. Release the locknut (A) that secures the temporary lifeline. Do not remove it
• Use a 17 mm combination wrench
3. Loosen the nut (B) to loosen the lifeline
• Use 17 mm combination wrench
• Check that the lifeline has been slack
• The indicator switch is moved from the normal work area (C) to the minimum use tension mark
(D)
4. Continue loosening the nut (B) of the bottom support until the indicator is in the area below the
minimum use lifeline (E).
• If necessary, remove the screws from the top bushing of the support so tension on the lifeline
can continue being loosened while the nut is being released.
5. Release the locknut (A) and nut (B) completely.
• Use a 17 mm standard wrench
6. Remove lifeline from the bottom support by pulling it upward
7. Remove the bolted joint (F) of the lower support (G)
• Use a 17 mm standard wrench.

C: Operating tension G: lower support
D: Minimum use tension

Step 2
Remove upper support of the provisional lifeline:
1. Stand at the top of the service ladder
2. Secure the upper support of the lifeline (A) during disassembly:
• Hang the upper support using the sling (D), between the two upper fastenings of the support
• Pull the loose end of the sling to secure the hanging.
•Join the loose end of the sling to the nearest top ladder support (B) using a shackle (C) or
anchorage point (E) using a carabiner (F) or a shackle.
3. Remove the upper support
• Use a 17 mm combination wrench to release the nut (H)
4. Situate the upper support on the platform
5. Gather the cable
6. Release the sling.

3.1.1. Turbine cleanness

Always keep work area clean. Clean if needed.

3.1.2. Packing up tools

Gather, clean and organize all the tools used during this operation.

3.1.3. Packing up toolkits


After using the toolkits required for this operation, gather and clean them for later use.
Remove the transport toolkits according to the corresponding return operation.
It is also necessary to visually check the condition of each one.

3.1.4. Waste collection


Gather all of the waste generated during this operation (silicone tubes, paper towels, pallets, boxes,
etc.)

Follow site rules for treatment and disposal of refuse.
