Anatomy of the nail

Getting ready for the manicure treatment:

Always ask your client to wash their hands before treatment only then you can sanitize their
hands and examine the skin and nails for visible abnormalities, cuts or burns.

If there’s any cuts/burns on fingers or hands make sure you apply a plaster before you start
the treatment just to protect the wounds from dust contamination.

If your client is suffering from fungal infection, onycholysis, pseudomonas (green nail
syndrome) you can’t proceed with the treatment, this might worsen the condition, advise your
client to visit a GP for further medical investigations & treatment.

We are working only with healthy nails and whatever we’re doing our main priority is to
keep them healthy, safety of the treatment always needs to be put first.
