Removal (Combined technique E-file + soak off)

Gel polish is a product design to last on nails max 4 weeks after that its structure is changing,
the product becomes less flexible, dry and prone to liftings and chipping this is why it’s
important to remove it completely but this is not the only reason we should do so, total
removal will allow us to monitor natural nails health and their reaction to the gel product.
There’s a lot of benefits of this type of removal:

Less hand filling

Quick soak off
Clean & nice canvas for a fresh set
Better nails health maintenance
Quick but not compromising on safety removal technique

First step E-file: right-handed left-handed

Right-handed
Forward mode
30-35 K RPM

Left-handed
Reverse mode
30-35 K RPM
Left-handed drill bit

Removal is followed by zones also different part of removal bit is used depending on zone
we’re working on, arrows are guiding on direction, if the gel was applied with apex the
colour needs to be removed completely, remove as much product as you feel confident and
comfortable enough to do so without damaging and filing the natural nails, the less gel will
remain on the nails the quicker it’ll soak off. (Remove gel on right hand first, wrap nails in
foil then proceed with e-file removal on the other hand).

Second step Soak off

Second step of removal is a classic soak off with using pure acetone, this is very important
make sure the acetone is pure without any other ingredients this will ensure a fast removal.
Soak cotton pad generously in acetone align with the nail and wrap with foil, squeeze the foil
to fit it tightly to the finger.

After about 5 minutes, soaked gel is ready to be removed with

using a metal tool (cuticle pusher) gel needs to be removed
completely, if there’s any dry bits left -double wrap the nails.

After gel removal buff the nails by following two steps direction.
Outer line - starting from the left free edge of the nail moving
upwards then down to the right side of the nail. Follow the arrows.
Centre of the nail buffing in the direction shown in the picture.
