by Name.
(**) Với câu hỏi What is the best-selling product?, cần subtotal (Dollars) & (Units) by
Product.
Answer:
a. Total unit by product (one-dimensional Pivot Table)
Step 1: Insert -> Chọn Pivot Table
Step 2: Khi hộp thoại Create Pivot Table hiện lên, chọn phần bảng muốn tạo (nhớ chọn cả
Column Header), chọn location (New worksheet/ Existing worksheet)
Step 3:
b. Total REVENUE for each (1) YEAR at each (2) STORE (two-dimensional Pivot
Table)
Step 1: Create Pivot Table (lặp lại step 1,2 câu a)
Step 2:
- Drag trường cần tính tổng (REVENUE) vào box VALUE.
- Có 2 dimension:
+ (1) YEAR: drag vào box ROWS.
+ (2) STORE: drag vào box COLUMNS.
Answer:
There are totally 3 products and they can be formed in 3 pairs: (1) Laser Printers -
Cartridges; (2) Cartridges - School Supplies; (3) School Supplies - Laser Printers.
1. Correlation between Laser Printers and Cartridges: Strong positive. (Because both of
them are high-tech products). The relation of these products are closely tied together.
=> Nếu sale của printer cao thì sale của cartridge cũng cao. Điều này dẫn tới việc 2 loại sản
phẩm này sẽ được khai thác để trở thành hàng hóa trong cùng 1 giỏ (được kinh doanh song
song)
Exercise 1:
price $ 3,00
demand 17647,05882

Answer:
a. One-way sensitivity analysis
You have to answer the question:
- How profit will depend on the price the owner charges?
- How changes in price, (from $1.00 through $4.00 in $0.25 increments) affect profit?
- Nhập formula của biến đầu ra Profit ở vị trí trống giao giữa cột và hàng giá trị.
Step 2: Tạo bảng Two-way data table
- Bôi đen phần giá trị (chừa phần chữ ra nhé)
- Vào Data -> What-if analysis -> Chọn Data table. Dựa vào bảng số liệu và đề bài để
chọn giá trị biến đầu vào (Inputs) tương ứng.
+ Row input cell:
+ Column input cell:
point.
(*) Trường hợp tìm break even point:
Dùng Goal Seek để tìm lần lượt Price & UnitCost tương ứng khi Set cell: TotalProfit to value
0.

(Thay hệ số Coefficients của A Made, B Made, C Made vào công thức để tìm Cost).
Topic 7: Optimization
Exercise:
Let’s say we work for a drug company that produces six different products at their plant.
Production of each product requires labor and raw material. Row 4 in Figure 27-1 shows the
hours of labor needed to produce a pound of each product, and row 5 shows the pounds of
raw material needed to produce a pound of each product. For example, producing a pound
of Product 1 requires six hours of labor and 3.2 pounds of raw material. For each drug, the
price per pound is given in row 6, the unit cost per pound is given in row 7, and the profit
contribution per pound is given in row 9. For example, Product 2 sells for $11.00 per pound,
incurs a unit cost of $5.70 per pound, and contributes $5.30 profit per pound. The month’s
demand for each drug is given in row 8. For example, demand for Product 3 is 1041 pounds.
This month, 4500 hours of labor and 1600 pounds of raw material are available. How can
this company maximize its monthly profit?
Activity 1: Specify a system that help solve the OPTIMIZATION problem USING IPO
MODEL.
Activity 2: Build an influence diagram that represent the processing logic of the optimization
problem
Total Profit
Total labor used <= 4500
Total RM used <= 1600
Step 3:
- Nhập công thức của Total labour bằng hàm SUMPRODUCT (Pound made, Labor)
- Nhập công thức của Total RM bằng hàm SUMPRODUCT (Pound made, Raw
Material)
- Ấn Solver
- OK
