2. General Arrangement
The Transmittal Sheet gives a list of the revised pages with the page numbers and a
brief description of the revision to each pages. It includes filing instructions for all the
supplied pages.
The Record of Temporary Revisions gives a list of the Temporary Revisions with their
status: the Temporary Revisions which must be removed from the manual and those
which still remain effective.
The List of Service Bulletins gives a list of all the Service Bulletins and Service
Information Letters which are applicable for the component.
The List of Effective Pages gives a list of all the pages that are effective for a given

(a) General
(b) Hardware
This Task gives a mechanical and electrical description of the module. This Task
explains the configuration and the operation of the component and its subassemblies
(modules/boards).
The MPs are broken down into Tasks and Sub-tasks. Each Task is broken down into five
Topics:
- Job Set-up
- Procedure
This topic is used to explain the reason for the Task, but if the Task title gives sufficient
information, then the statement “Self Explanatory” is used.
- Consumable Materials
- Expendable Parts
- Referenced Information
This Table lists the fixtures, tools and support equipment required for the
maintenance procedure. They can be of two types:

TASK 33-46-11-879-802-A01
3. Maintenance Task Oriented Support System (MTOSS) Task/Sub-tasks numbering
A. General
The MTOSS system specifies a functional organization of the data and a numbering system
which gives a maintenance Task/Sub-tasks number to each step of the maintenance
operation (Task) described in the CMM. The Task/Sub-tasks numbers are mainly used for
data management and have no significance for the reader of the CMM. The Introduction
(INTRO) and the Description and Operation (DO) are broken down into Tasks. The
Maintenance Procedures (MP) are broken down into Tasks and Sub-tasks.

1. Introduction
A. General
NOTE: Refer to TESTING AND FAULT ISOLATION to find the cause of malfunction or condition of the
component. Use only the procedures necessary to get access to and disassemble an
unserviceable item.
NOTE: This section contains the detailed description of repair procedures, consisting in the
procedures for remove and replace the replaceable items of the LED TAKE OFF LIGHT. For
restoring the painting, don't substitute any part but repaint the damaged surfaces.
NOTE: After Testing and Fault Isolation and Inspection phases, the condition of the item (operating /
failed) and most probable cause of its malfunction have been established. This is to determine
the extent of remove procedure required without completely tear down and rebuilding the
equipment.
NOTE: Replacement procedures refer only to those parts that can be easily removed by Technical
Personnel with the help of standard workshop tools available at ground's facilities and not to
those parts assembled by the Factory that have to be considered as not replaceable and,
consequently, not supplied as spare parts. Replacement procedures refer to figures and tables
reported in the last section of this publication. Reference to single figure/table is indicated when
it is of interest for a better comprehension of procedure description. Repair procedures refer to
the illustration of the IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalogue) contained in the last section of this
manual. Reference to single illustration is indicated at the beginning of each assembly
procedure. Reference to single parts in a procedure makes use of the item index number used
in the relevant illustration.
NOTE: After each procedure of the replacement internal item of UUT execute the internal cleaning
