1. According to the Association for Supervision and Curriculum

Development, the three approaches to integration are the
Multidisciplinary, Interdisciplinary, and Transdisciplinary. In
the multidisciplinary, there are multiple disciplines used to
study the same topic, relates different subject around a
common theme, and focuses primarily on the disciplines.
Restructured Basic Education Curriculum (RBEC) is the best
depiction of multidisciplinary approach. The Interdisciplinary
may involves drawing appropriately from several disciplines
to redefine problems outside of normal boundaries and reach
solutions based on a new understanding of complex situations
and Spiral curriculum can be used, and organize the
curriculum around common learnings across disciplines. While
the Transdisciplinary allows to organize the curriculum
around their questions and concerns, and make connections
among different subjects by solving social problems and
answering open-ended questions.

2 The significances of having service learning especially in the

field of teacher education is that, it supports the teachers by
providing them real world application to the more theoretical
material discussed in the classroom and this benefit others and
the community. This impounds integrative, reflective,
contextualized, strength-based, reciprocal, and lifelong learning.

3. The importance of having this process, it helps to be more

easier and fun. They can use interactive games to reinforce
math, spelling, phonetic, and reading skills. Student learn to
respect the environment in every subject area and some

4. In the module Integrating New Literacies in the

Curriculum, I comprehended that this helps to
encourages everyone to have actively
participation in relevant real-life experiences, to
have a deeper understanding of content and this is
a big help for us when we become teachers
someday

I Feel that having integrating new literacy could

help us overcome literacy barriers to
participation and learning.
