PAPER 1 TACTICS

1. 佔分 20%，注意時間分配，建議 Part A 不要用過上 35 分鐘作答，而 Part B2 則需用

上 55 分鐘。因為 Part B2 長題目通常會較多，文章主旨、寫作手法、及結構等亦較
為復雜，所費時間亦較多。

若英文底子較差同學選答 Part B1，建議作答時間則為 Part A 40-45 分鐘，而 Part B1

則用上 45-50 分鐘作答。

2. 至於在這個階段，有關必需要準備的題型，筆者有意下建議:
先主攻佔分最重、歷年最高頻的 6 大題種，並必須每種題型 by topic 狂操:
a) Long Questions
b) Matching
c) Summary Cloze
d) True False Not Given
e) Inference
f) Reference

後穩守相對佔較少分數比例的題種。

而就佔分最重的、歷年最高頻的 6 大題種，筆者有意下建議或作答心得予同學:

Question Type A Long Questions

1. Long Questions 是歷年 P1 關鍵中的關鍵，隨時可佔整份試卷的 35-50%不等。例如 2015

DSE P1 便瘋狂問及 Long Questions。

2. 考評歷年曾考及多類型長題目。考生必須在餘下的數個月準備中，預先熟練考評的
習慣，例如大家必須掌握有邊啲字眼代表答案在原文直抄 (例如 according to, based
on the information, from the text)等等、邊啲字眼代表答案需要個人推論 (如 your
opinion, do you agree 等)、邊啲字眼代表答案需要「走例子」 (如 main point, main idea
等)。

當然筆者在此因篇幅所限，未能盡錄所有技巧，但若連這個基本技術也未能掌握，
絕對很難穩 4 衝 5。

3. 考生亦應仔細留意長題目的分數，若題目沒有列明分數，代表只有 1 分，若果那條
題目屬於直抄類，那抄完請盡快做到下一題，畢竟時間緊迫；而若題目有列明 2 分，
代表答案需要抄足 2 個才可「鬆人」。

Question Type B Matching

1. 近年常客。大致可分為 Quote Matching (人物說話題) 及 Idea Matching (段落大意/副

標題題)。

2. 前者的話，考生可首先在文中尋找大階字母以方便定位人物，或特別留意帶出說話
的引號，再對句意匹配與否，便能輕鬆完成。

3. 後者的話，段落大意題，建議考生可以特別留意每段的首尾句 (Topic Sentence &

Small Conclusion)，中間的細節可暫且不看，便能輕鬆完成。

Question Type C Summary Cloze

1. 近年每年 Parts A 及 B 均會共佔最少 20-30 分的常客。

2. 而各位必須留意的是，2021 DSE 此題型淨計 Parts A + B2 已出了 29 分 (總分 84 分)，

即 34.52%，意味著大家必須對此題型作特別訓練。

3. 由於部分這類題目考及考生的語文或字詞轉換能力，建議能力較弱的考生在作答前，
首先在空格下 mark 低答案所需要的詞性 (Part of Speech)，為此，可特別留意空格前
後 3-4 字，這些字詞絕對能主宰答案的準確度。例如空格前出現 enable somebody，
那麼你大可 expect 空格需要一個不定式 (To-infinitive Pattern)，亦即 to do sth. (因常
用用法為 enable somebody to do something)；又如空格前出現 a / an / the，那麼空格
大可肯定是需填上一個名詞 (Noun)。

4. 能力中上或較強的同學，需特別注意一點: 近年很多 Summary Cloze 的題目均只是

「很簡單」地要求考生從原文「直抄」用字。故此，可特別留意題目中的 Instructions，
看看有沒有一些考評常見用字如 found / taken from the text。

Question Type D TFNG

1. 請必須清楚 TFNG 的常見 definitions，及考評歷年的潛規則。

2. 請特別留意題目的指示，需要看那些段落作答。如原文沒有出現相關資料，切忌以
個人 common sense 判斷答案。

3. 可特別小心題目中的極端字眼 (Extreme Wording) 如 no, never, any 等，根據過去的

PP，大部分如題目出現此類字眼，原文皆會有一些例外的情況，故此答案常為 False。

Question Type E Inference

1. 推論題，乃近年考評常客，命中率通常只有約 5-25%不等，主因是因為答案不能在
原文直抄。

2. 考生必須在餘下的數個月準備中，訓練自己對題目用字的敏感程度。近年常見的一
些字，例如 imply, mean, suggest 等，請大家多加注意。

3. 大家亦須訓練自己的「推論意識」
，例如可從作者的態度、感覺、目的作推論，或嘗
試從「一件事的後續/結果」作推論。

例如 2014 DSE P1 Part A Q.21，題目問及機械人講 “insufficient value” 意思係乜，考

生可以從機械人的目的作推論: 由於 apology 的價值不足，答案自然是 希望對方會
作另一次 apology (目的)。亦可從結果作推論，自然得出 apology 不會被接受 (結
果)。

Question Type F Reference

1. 指涉題 (refer to ...)，乃近年考評必出常客，常問及一些代名詞 (Pronoun)，如 he / she

/ it 指緊乜水。

2. 作答此類題型，考生大部分均會第一時間「向前找」
，但其實考評局曾出過需要「向
後找」的題目，例如 12 DSE PP Part B2 Q.69。當時文章為一篇故事，需知道故事為
了增加吸引性/懸念，作者常會將主角人物放在文中稍後的位疊。考生稍一不小心，
就會中伏。

3. 近年亦多了一類題目，考評會出類似的格式如 “this / that / the + Noun” 。此類題目

考生必須多加留心，由於題目是一個名詞結構，作答時必需將之變成一個 Noun，例
如將答案變成 “that + SVO” (Noun Clause)。稍一不慎，便會失分。

PAPER 2 TACTICS

1. 佔分 25%，必須注意時間分配，建議 Part A (短文) 不要用過上 45 分鐘作答，而 Part

B (長文) 則需用上 1 小時 15 分鐘作答。

2. Part B 選擇題目方面，謹記盡可能選擇議論題型 (Argumentative) 或說明類型

(Expository – 亦即問及 Reason / Impact / Solution 類型的題目)；此兩類根據考評局
資料，均為歷年考生平均表現最高分，因此大家正常情況下應更容易取得理想的分
數。

相反，一些有關描寫性 (Descriptive / Narrative) 或 分享類 (Sharing) 文類，筆者建

議同學盡可能「不。要。掂!」
。原因非常簡單: 考生平均表現極差，試想想，每次寫
故事的情節均要求巨大的創意，plot 只要不合 marker 心水，立即出事。而且描寫性
或分享類文章的結構每篇不同，大家的表現穩定性亦隨之很容易受影響。

3. 筆者有一個例子，他是一位 2020 DSE 的 5**考生。他是在上年 1 月份才插班本人的

濃縮技巧精讀課程，並第一次接觸我。他對我說，學校老師對他們的作文選題沒有
甚麼限制或指示，所以他都是憑感覺去揀題目。而當時他對我坦白說他通常選擇了
一些描寫性/分享類文類，但是每 10 次表現便有 2-3 次總是不高分，未能每次均「穩
定 5**」。

我對他當頭捧喝，並強烈建議他由那日開始，每次均作 Argumentative 或 Expository，

並每隔一/兩星期便交一次作文予本人批改。最後，他在公開試當然是順利 5**。

4. 另外一點需要提醒各位同學，答題目時必須留意文體格式、語境意識、語氣控制。

舉兩個例子，2018 P2 Q.3 Workplace 的題目要求你寫一封 a letter to staff，但你的身

份是公司的老闆，你需要 address their complaints。此條題目的語氣控制技術為極難，
大家平時亦沒多操練這種「由上而下」語境!

另一個例子，2019 P2 Q.4 Sports 的題目為要求你寫一篇 news report。大家平時日校

老師可能不停教 sports，對 sports 的用字理應不陌生，但 news report 呢? 相信 2019
年第一次出此文體格式前，大家亦未曾操練。結果，根據考評報告，當年此條題目
的 mean score (out of 42) 為 18.4，遠比其他題目低。

綜合上述所說，筆者建議同學，應要「憑文類」(即 Argumentative 或 Expository) 選

擇對自己最有利的題目。

5. 另外筆者建議同學在這階段可多記大熱議題高頻百搭用字及用句，畢竟考評局近年
亦多次考及時事，如 2017 Intangible Cultural Heritage / 2019 Hiring International Talent
/ 2020 的 Instagrammer 等。以下為筆者在精讀課程的部份筆記節錄，大家可作溫習

PAPER 3 TACTICS

1. 佔分 30%，為佔分最重一卷。特別 Part B2 (Integrated Tasks) 必須注意時間分配，建

議每個 Task 用上約共 20 分鐘 (10 分鐘找 points，10 分鐘抄寫)，所剩時間用 skills
執靚仔考評局要求的 language 分 (如 coherence, organization, tone and appropriacy
部分)。

2. 先講 Part A Tasks 1-4 (Listening)。對英文底子較弱的同學而言，定必感到相當害怕，

始終這部分需要「串深字」
。在這個階段，英文底子較弱的同學應集中將考評歷年最
高頻的主題 (themes) 組織並溫習一次，例如近年屢見不鮮的 education / technology
/ science / environment / music / occupation / country 等主題，無論是日校老師、或坊
間教參、或補習筆記等資源，只要是涉及這些主題的生字，均反覆溫習並熟記每隻
字點串。

3. 至於英文底子中上/較強同學，現階段應集中訓練不同考評局歷屆 10 多種特定題型
的技術，例如地圖題 (Map), 流程圖 (Flowchart), 態度題 (Attitude), Ranking (排次序
題)等。

4. 無論任何水平的同學，也應該擔心每年的 Task 4 指定的長題目。對此類題目，抄寫

速度是不可或缺的一環。現階段大家可多加操練 UE Section A PP，特別是 95-01 年
的試卷，所需抄的內容及速度，非常 challenging，近似 DSE P3 T4。

5. 至於 Part B2 Tasks 8-10 (Integrated Tasks)，此乃筆者的皇牌卷，近年此卷全港最頂尖

的同學，也是出自本人班房 (例如多位同學 3 個 Tasks 當中 2 個 Tasks 連 Language 分
全 full mark)。筆者所觀察到的是，眾多坊間同學只懂得如何「捉 points」
。大家必須
謹記，除了「捉 points」外，Language 分 (如 coherence, organization, tone and
appropriacy 部分) 才是公開試決勝負的關鍵。故此在此階段請大家多多訓練不同
Language 技術。

6. 你可能會問，Language 意識如何提高? 此涉及多種 Specific 技術，其中一環就是語

氣 awareness。

例如 2018 P3 T10 便曾要求你俾意見與你公司合作的 artist，題目大多數的意見均是

要求對方對他的作品作出修正，正常在現實世界中，此舉定會得失對方，令對方有
感不快。但你的老闆在 instructions email 提你 ‘try not to upset the artist’，行文時便
應作出修改 (tone adaptation)，例如可加入類似的句子:
 We are afraid to say that ... (+ point)
 We love ..., but ... (+ point)
 We really appreciate your hard work, but ... (+ point)

這類型的句子在 Data File 考評局是不會提醒你的，考生需要自行 “alert” 並作出適

當語氣控制。以上只是其中一語氣情境，因此現階段建議大家可參閱 PP 歷年多種情
境作訓練。
