•The study of finding out
new things and discovering
answers to questions that
uses a step by step process
called scientific method.
WHAT ARE THE
GOALS OF MAKING
AN IP?
OBJECTIVES
• Stimulate interest in Science
• Provide educational opportunities
• Share what you have learned to
discuss a certain topic.
• Application of concepts learned
• Uses scientific method
TOPIC
• Choose a topic in Science wherein you find most
interesting with you.
• Start with a broad general topic to making it
more specific.
• Example:
▫ Genetics – Mutation – Products of Mutation –
GMO products sold in the market – “Mangopol”

▫ Hardest topic in Science as viewed by the students

- comparison between two hard topics
• Allot time reading articles from
previous studies and different
sources.
• You can make one research as a
template for your research.
▫ Kalabasa cookies vs. ordinary
cookies
▫ Ampalaya cookies vs. ordinary
cookies
• Your research may either be:
▫ Scientific (with products or
comparison in scientific side)
▫ Educational (something to do
with Science, teachers and
students)
• Make your life easy, choose a topic which
you can finish working in, you find
interest, and you can finish on time.

• You will work by group.

• You must be dedicated, determined,

diligent and zealous to be able to finish
your investigatory project.
