Solve the following problem.

1. Consider the figure below which shows the shape of a park in a certain city. The
Mayor of the city asked the city engineer to cover the entire park with frog grass that
costs P150 per square foot. Determine how much budget the Mayor should allocate to
cover the entire park with frog grass.

2. Jake wants new carpeting for his bed room. However, he wants one of the sides of the
carpet to follow the graph of y=sin x +3 π +1 as shown. If the dimension of his
bedroom is 3 π × 3 π meters, how much carpeting does he need to cover his bed room?
