you see the weakest points of your research that can make research, then write it on your
recommendations.

5. Why did you use Qualitative or Quantitative Method?

- You are using Quantitative method if you want to measure the variables systematically and
you want to test a hyphothesis.
- You are using Qualitative method if you wanna explore ideas, thoughts and meanings.

6. Is your Instrument Adopted or Researcher-made? Why?

- You need to explain if you adopted a questionnaire from a previous study and you need to
justify why are their study and your study highly similar that’s why you adopted it. It can just
have a different setting, stakeholders, but the findings you both want to get is just the same.
- But if you create your own questionnaire, you need to justify why the data gathering is much
better if if you develop your own questionnaire.
7. Why did you conduct this study? (What prompted you to conduct this study?) What motivated
you to undertake this research?
- You will propose in this the research gap or the actual problem scenario.
- You need to prove that your topic is research worthy and to show that the recent research
related to your topic is not enough.

8. What are the significant findings of your study?

- The answers regarding this can be on chapter 4 or chapter 5
- Just your key findings that are inline with your statement of the problems.

9. How did you gather your data?

- Earliest now you should prepare a theory.
- Know the theory (theory itself), theorist (the person who came the theory), main argument
(the highlight statement of the theory)

13. What is your research gap? (What gaps you intend to bridge with you research?)
- The answer regarding this came from knowing what the specific problem is you are trying to
solve.
- Read enough articles that will show that there is a real limitation of a study that need to
conduct.

14. What is your research all about?

15. Why did you choose this study?

16. What is the scope of your study?
17. Why is your research important in this area?
18. Who will be interested in your research?
19. What are the implications of what you have found for society in general?
20. Why did you choose this research methodology?
21. Would you discover something else if you had used a different approach?
22. How do you know that what you have found is correct?
23. How will your findings contribute to the related area of knowledge?
24. Did you experience any limitations in your research?
25. What would you suggest as future research and why?
26. What advice would you give if you could go back to the beginning of your research?
27. What is the background of your study?
28. How is your theory or concept relevant to your study?
29. How did you formulate your S.O.P?
30. What is the importance of your study?

34. Discuss the population and sample of your study?
35. What instrument did you use?
36. What tool did you use?
37. How do you plan to gather your data?
38. What is your rationale?

RESEARCH TITLE DEFENSE AND TIPS

1. RESEARCH GAP
- Your proposed title must have addressed something research gap.
- (justify that there is a not enough knowledge on a specific area or topic to show that there is a
need to conduct a study about that)

2. BE PREPARED
- Prepares at least 3 theories about your study (brief rrl, you should know your timeline how
you will conduct your study and anticipate possible questions) prepares your answer ahead.

3. RATIONALE
- Rationale of the study, last paragraph of the introduction
- Reason? = choose?
- Because our respondents are students also like us that has been affected that is why it is the
reason why we choose this study
- Or this problem is updated that is why we choose this study.

4. Focus on the problem/ issues being investigated.

5. Don’t be too creative for your presentation.
6. Apply the 7-word rule for each bullet point.
- It should not be more than 7 words.

7. Take notes about the suggestions of your panelist, how will you do it next time and write
what you need to write or to take note.
