How does railway transportation begin?

Railway transportation got its start in the early 19th century when
steam-powered locomotives came into play. The first public railway to use
steam locomotives was the Stockton and Darlington Railway in England,
which opened in 1825. This breakthrough made moving goods and people
across long distances quicker and more efficient.

Railways were like the workhorses of industry, hauling coal and

materials to factories and ports, powering the engines of progress. But as
time went on and technology marched forward, more and more people
hopped aboard for the ride. Railways weren't just about moving goods
anymore; they became the arteries of the Industrial Revolution, linking far-
off places, fueling bustling cities, and driving trade and business. Starting
from those modest roots in the early 1800s, railways have grown into the
backbone of our modern world, paving the way for smooth, eco-friendly
travel across the globe.

Over in the Philippines, railway development took root in the late

19th century, back when the Spanish ruled. The Spanish government led
the construction of the Manila-Dagupan Railway, which officially began
operations on November 24, 1892. This marked the beginning of the
country's journey into railway transportation, linking Manila to Dagupan in
Pangasinan province.
