Art, culture and Mexican tradition

with our recycled packages

On November 1st and 2nd, Mexico celebrates the Day of the Dead, one of the most
representative festivities of the country declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by
UNESCO, in which family and friends gathering to pay respects for those who have died. To
celebrate this Mexican tradition, in 2017 Mexicráneos was created, an exhibition of
monumental skulls located in one of the most important avenues in Mexico City, where urban
art and Mexican culture are highlighted through their multiple expressions.

As part of the 60th anniversary of Tetra Pak in Mexico, this year we are part of Mexicráneos
through 3 art pieces made of 100% polyaluminum, result of recycling 38,700 of our packages,
giving life to great works of art that are appreciated by Mexican and foreign families who visit
the Paseo de la Reforma, a great tourist spot in Mexico City.

The skull titled "60 years living with you" was painted by Marco Mother Monkey, a Mexican
artist who highlighted in his work the evolution of Tetra Pak packages and its history in Mexico,
through a colorful design and elements that allude to Mexican culture and the recycling of our
packages.

‘Fenecimiento fractal’ is an artwork in which different portions of polyaluminum sheets were

used together to give a geometric appearance, also using a reflective tape that stands out with
the lights of the cars driving around the area and the flash of the cameras used by visitors
when taking a photograph.

And finally, 'Tetra Pak packages: from birth to the grave', is a skull that is shaped through the
use of vegetable resins, highlighting the natural color of polyalumunium and its granite-like
appearance.

In addition to celebrate one of the most important festivities in Mexico, with our participation in
this exhibition, we raise awareness among visitors about recycling and the circular economy
that has been developed in Mexico, elements that can result in majestic artworks and culture
such as these monumental skulls.

Let’s keep celebrating and protecting what´s good.
