elektrik GROUNDING
TRANSFORMERS
Grounding Transformers are designed to provide an artifical, neutral point
for ungrounded three phase power systems. During the line-to-ground
faults, grounding transformers provide an easy path to ground faults, thus
limit the fault currents and transiet over-voltages GroundingTransformers
normally carry short-circuit ground current until the circuit breaker clears
the fault. Therefore, they have short time ratings. The kVA rating of a
earthing transformer depends on the normal line-to-neutral voltage and
the fault current value for a specified time, such as a seconds to minutes.

SURGE elektrik
CAPACITORS
Introduction
Electrical surges various sources are common in power systems, such as lightning strikes,
equipment failures, switching surges which have a high dv/dt ratio. Hilkar Surge Capacitors
are designed to prevent damage to the winding insulations of equipment such as
generators, motors, reactors and transformers, where significant losses may occur if the
necessary protection measures are not taken. Surge Capacitors are used to reduce or
eliminate the effect of over-voltages on these devices, are frequently preferred as a cost-
effective and versatile solution.Surge Capacitors absorb energy from electrical surges and
protect equipment. Therefore, implementation of Surge Capacitors as surge protection
devices, significantly reduces the direct and indirect costs related to equipment repair and
cessation of business activity.

ANTI-CONDENSATION
HEATERS Anti-Condensation Space Heaters are designed to maintain the temperature of an
electrical enclosure over a desired value. They are used for elimination of water vapor
found inside the enclosures and also provide frost protection by keeping the internal
temperature of electrical enclosures above freezing temperature. Anti-Condensation
Space (Panel) Heaters prevent condensation through convection.

STARTING elektrik
MOTOR-STARTING
AUTO
AUTO-TRANSFORMERS
TRANSFORMERS

Motor Starting Auto-Transformers reduce the inrush current by stepping down the
applied voltage during the start-up operation of induction and synchronous motors.
Direct-online starting of a motor usually generates voltage flicker and mechanical
stress to the equipment. To avoid this, the motor must be started at reduced voltage
which can be achieved by using an auto-transformer. The Auto-transformer greatly
reduces the high starting current with moderate starting torque. Auto-transformers
are typically designed with voltage taps of 50%, 65%, and 80% of the rated voltage.
In contrast to reactor based motor starters, the motor voltage is fixed. Thus, additional
reduction in starting current is achieved using the same starting torque. The motor is
connected to the taps of the auto-transformer during the reduced voltage starting
period. With lower starting voltage, less current is drawn by the motor, which
therefore develops less torque than if it was connected to the line voltage.

FILTERS

Sine Filter

Sine Wave Output Filter Modules provide a smoother sinusoidal waveform with
lowresidual ripple, for example as is often observed in square waveforms with
high voltage spikes, present at the output of motor drives. These filter modules
eliminate the challange of using motor drives with long cable applications, and
make it possible to utilize low voltage motor drives with medium voltage motors
by deploying them in front of the step-up transformers.

LCL Type Harmonic Filter Modules are used to filter out the
input current harmonics of Motor Drives that have six-pulse
diode/thyristor rectifiers, and where harmonic current distortion
LCL Filter exceeds the standard defined limits.
