PAST SIMPLE AFFIRMATIVE AND NEGATIVE

WORKSHEETS, ACTIVITIE S & GA ME S My Last Summer Holiday

A. Read the story and underline all the past simple verbs.

Last summer, I went to Florida with my family. It was our first

holiday together, and we had a lot of fun. We decided to go to
Miami because the beaches are beautiful and clean. We stayed in
a house on the beach and went surfing every day. There were a lot
of other families there. My sister and I met a lot of other kids on
the beach, and we played beach games together. We also joined
a sandcastle building competition. My team built the biggest sandcastle, and we won! In the
evenings, we drove to the city, walked around, and ate in different restaurants. One evening,
we ate in a Brazilian restaurant with a live band playing. Then, we watched a show until we fell
asleep and our parents took us home. I'll never forget this holiday. Miami is so cool!
