Student’s review
Pavel Vasylevsky
I'm a first year postgraduate student at the Institute of biomedical systems. This year I
pursued a master's degree in biotechnical systems and technologies also in the Institute
of biomedical systems. The aim of my research work was to investigate the effects of
radar radiation on protein dissolutions with carbon nanotubes, during our master
program, we were learning such disciplines as well let analysis and neural networks
electrical graphic systems, laser engineering of biocompatible materials and some
common disciplines.

Most of all, I like the discipline “laser engineering of biocompatible materials” goes
directly related to the topic of my research work, I was able to emphasize many
interesting and useful facts and improve my knowledge about the interaction of laser
radiation with biological matter. Studying at our institute was very interesting because
our academic studies were interactive. We didn't just listen to lectures, but we were
constantly involved in the discussion of rigorous scientific problems. I want to continue
my work at the Institute of biomedical systems because I see its huge potential and there
is still a lot of interesting undecided challenges to solve.

Expert’s opinion
Nikolai Bazaev MIET graduate, Head of Research department, ESDIAR LLC

The master's program at the Institute of Biomedical Systems (BMS) in MIET is related to the
training of artificial organ engineering. The teaching staff consists of specialists directly involved in
the process of developing technical systems for replacing the functions of internals. The
curriculum includes the following directions: the auxiliary circulatory system, the artificial blood
purification system, regenerative medicine, modern methods and means of diagnosing and
treating diseases. Thus, students have the opportunity to prepare their graduation works at a high
scientific level.

The Institute of BMS cooperates with representatives of the industry sector, implements projects
and transfers research results in the real sector of the economy. After the graduation students
become sought-after specialists among enterprises in Zelenograd and Moscow, or continue their
scientific activities”.

ESDIAR is located in special economic zone “Zelenograd”. The company specializes in research
and design works for innovative medicine. The staff consists of students and postgraduates of
MIET, young scientists, researchers and engineers.
