2. Goals Description

1. Microwave and ATN Network Monitoring, Alarm Analysis and Troubleshooting.

Description: Monitoring MW and ATN Network of all Nepal through NMS/EMS.

2. MW Link Utilization/Upgradation/Optimization Analysis

Description: Bandwidth Utilization Review, Congestion Analysis and Optimization Analysis
through support of PD’s/WCSD/BTD/ISSD.
Means of Evaluation: As per EMS/NMS/NOC/GMCC Data/KPIs and Site Data.
Marks: 45%

3. Microwave Link Installation/Dismantle/Maintenance/Service Integration Support.

Description: Service addition (New Sites/New Links), Upgradation Plan/Existing Link
Upgradation etc. through support of PD’s/WCSD/BTD/ISSD.
Means of Evaluation: As per EMS/NMS/NOC/GMCC Data/KPIs and Site Data.
Marks: 15%

4. ATN Service Configuration/Traffic Shifting/Installation and Dismantle/Link Optimization

Description: Through NMS/EMS and as per installation plan of sites by WSD through support

5. KPI Report Verification and Support

Description: KPI report verification submitted and presented by AMSP (Huawei and CCSI).
Means of Evaluation: As per EMS/NMS/NOC/GMCC Data/KPIs and Site Data.
Marks: 5%

6. GSM Sites and Transmission Nodes IP/VLAN Management.

Description: Verification and approval of reports and management of plan of
GSM/NodeB’s/eNodeB’s/ATN/MW all over Nepal.
Means of Evaluation: As per EMS/NMS/NOC/GMCC Data/KPIs and Site Data.
Marks: 5%
3. Day-to-day Task Handlings

This is very useful for identifying patterns in workload, quality and quantity of work performed
and can help in planning resources accordingly. It prompts further investigation into why external
events impacting task volume.

Image shown is a day-to-day track of the count of activities over the month of March 2024. It
depicts the number of tasks handled each day. Each day, transmission related works are performed.
Count-wise, small volume of task may reflect high density of work and large amount of work may
replicate in another day.

4. Work Performance as per Job Description

This chart quickly conveys the relative importance or time allocation of different tasks within a
job role, which can be useful for understanding job responsibilities, performance evaluations, or
resource allocation.

Above pie-chart represents the distribution of various work performance metrics according to a
job description (JD) assigned. The size of each slice indicates the percentage of time or resources
allocated for particular activity. NMS monitoring and reporting constitutes a large percentage
(~20%) followed by RTN/OSN (~18%) and ATN configuration and site supports (14%).

Overall, understanding the implications of the distribution of work performance metrics on the job
role is essential for optimizing performance, enhancing productivity, and achieving organizational
goals.

5. Province Wise Job Handlings

This chart is designed to compare the number of jobs handled across different provinces; the length
of the bar indicates the quantity of job handling for that province.

Since, RAN O&M resides in WSD and targeted to monitor and analyze KTM and CDR-TTC
traffic/transmission network of Bagmati Province with utmost priority, it is evident that the number
of jobs handled is largest for Bagmati province among all. Besides, Team Transmission, look after
all Nepal network and assist Provincial Directorate (PDs) to sort out the issues.

Most of the time, regional team’s call is associated with IP/VLAN planning, RTN/OSN and ATN
configuration and NMS support. Along with, work orders are also dispatched to PD and other
telecom offices and IMUs for Radio/ATN link optimization/upgradation and installation.
6. Support Divisional Sections and Offices

This chart illustrates the percentage distribution of support provided to central/regional

offices/IMUs and other divisions within an organization.

The largest segments in the chart are for WSD TRX and WSD FLM each have percentage demand of 27.5%
and 11.8%. WSD transmission unit itself plan and execute urgent transmission related issues and foster
regional team to do so. Further, being in same workspace with FLM team, almost all site issues went
through transmission verification including link establishment, upgradation and ring network management.

Besides, all transmission plan, IP/VLAN management and site support is being provided to regional IMU
team, local offices and provincial directorate. This scenario identifies the areas that may need additional
support or highlight the divisions that are receiving substantial amount of support from WSD Transmission.

7. GSM Transmission Daily Job Tracker in Google Sheet

From March of this year, JD for each individual employee has been finalized and is in the process of final
submission from the management. Each unit are having specific goals, their evaluation techniques and
equivalency weight of the task. In such scenario, the task needs to be handled is organized accordingly,
while liaison details, task nature and performance output are recorded for that number of timestamps.
