SPELLING RULES:
COMPARATIVE
One syllable adjectives + -er They are smalle r t h a n me.

• SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES
We use superlative adjectives to compare three or more people, animals or things. We use
the preposition i n .
Example à This is the most comfortable sofa in the world.
We form the superlatives of short adjectives and long adjectives in different ways:
