BUBT DRESS CODE POLICY

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) always strives to help students acquire an
extent of knowledge, a breadth of mind and a depth of character that may ultimately enable them to face
challenges of life. So, adherence to standard discipline of social life is considered to be a core concept of
building successful entrepreneurs, academics, professionals and administrators. With this view, BUBT
expects its students to display a positive image in their dress and attire at all times.

Students of different religions and cultures can wear different types of dress. But it is expected that
everybody will maintain socially and culturally acceptable decent dress code. All are expected to come to
the campus wearing clean, decent and elegant dress that go in conformity with its academic and cultural
ethos.

Unacceptable dress and attire

There are dress codes for faculties, staff and students for the University as mentioned in the BUBT Dress
Code Policy. The whole Dress Code Policy is not attached herewith. The students are advised not to wear
the following unacceptable dress and attire to maintain the sanctity of academic environment:

 Shorts of any kind including three-quarter


 Mini or midi skirts
 Bathroom slippers or chappal
 Offensive slogan, picture or sign displaying dress
 See through clothes
 V-shaped or round neck T-shirt
 Sleeveless kamiz or blouse, tops
 Sweatshirt, sweatpants
 Ripped or torn jeans, tights
 Hair braids for male student

Wearing of ID card

Everybody must hang their ID card as part of the dress code in a manner so that it is visible while they are
in the campus.
