To whom it may concern,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Owen Webster, a current
senior at El Capitan High School. I have known Owen since August of 2023, when he enrolled in
my integrated math 3 class. Ever since enrolling in my class, Owen has demonstrated the
following characteristics: creative, organized and communicative. He never backs down from
challenges he faces in my class, thinks critically when solving a problem, and is not afraid to be
wrong, as he will keep trying and thinking of ways to understand the content he is learning.

Beyond my classroom, Owen extends his education outside of the highschool by taking classes
at Merced College. Throughout his academic endeavors, he has demonstrated a strong work
ethic, a drive to learn, and a commitment to secure academic success. All of which are
characteristics of a strong, determined individual.

Owen shows great interest in tech, and construction, this is shown through his involvement as an
assistant contractor, a position which he held for 2 years, a member of a robotics team, who
competed in the Merced Union High School District robotics competition and through his
completion of tech and construction projects, where he collaborated with others to create original
solutions to any problems faced along the way.

Aside from academics, Owen shows a great involvement in extracurriculars. He was a part of an
academic decathlon in January of this year, a member of El Capitan High School’s Future
Business Leaders of America, and completed mathematical, and computer science challenges in
MCORE at UC Merced.

It is clear that Owen has a great deal of drive, experience inside and out of the classroom, and
extracurricular experience. All of which he intends to use to better himself and others around
him. I recommend Owen Webster for any scholarship or institution he wishes to apply to.
