board is installed into the housing (see Figure 2) intended to secure a standard DIN-rail
35 mm.
ACM-IP2.1 weight does not exceed 0,2 kg. External appearance and overall dimensions
are given at Figure 2.

ENG 1 – Line connector for connection of discrete lines (control lines), software
configurable or as input for connection, for example, direct call key of the
terminal units or as output (for load connection);
12 – Eth connector RJ-45 8P8C for connection to Ethernet network (including PoE
power supply).
When supplied from an external power supply, LEDs become green and orange
meaning that there is power supply and Ethernet connection.
13 – connector for connection to the analog line and transformer central point
control line.

control lines 5-8 and 1-4, respectively.
7 – CP on/off switch to control the output transformer central point of line A-B. The
switch must be on to transmit a control signal by activating the device via the
middle point, for example, if ACM-IP2.1 is used together with an analog
intercom or controlled amplifier. For all other devices, the switch is
recommended to be turned off.
Positions of CP switch:
10 – DEF button to reset to factory settings. If the button is kept pressed with ACM-
IP2.1 pressed, network settings and user data will be reset to default settings. To
reset, press and hold the button for seven second, then wait until ACM-IP2.1
reboots.

Each ACM-IP2.1 contains firmware and factory settings (IP address and MAC address).
To provide communication, IP network built using standard network equipment is needed.
1.6 Labeling
A bilingual nameplate is attached to the ACM-IP2.1 housing (in Russian and English) ENG
made by laser printing.
− commercialization mark for products on the market of Customs Union member states;
− MAC address;
− date of manufacture.
1.7 Package
ENG ACM-IP2.1 with the products and documents, which come with the supply package, is
packed in an individual container (a cardboard box) according to GOST 23088-80.
A label in Russian language and English language is glued onto the consumer package,
said label containing the following inscriptions and symbols:
The package is made according to the drawings of the product manufacturer and
enables storage of the product, provided requirements set in Section 5 are met.
For shipment of the product from the manufacturer, consumer package contents are
placed in the package place, which ensures protection from mechanical damage, direct
ingress of atmospheric precipitation, dust and solar radiation during transportation.
2 INTENDED USE
The product is designed for continuous round-the-clock operation. The operator’s ENG
intervention is not required after the product’s commissioning except for the following cases:
− maintenance;
The maintenance personnel shall strictly follow safety rules set in this document.
Before shipping to the customer, the product together with the operational
documentation shall be packed.
2.1.1 ACM-IP2.1 shall be used at ambient parameters which do not exceed the
permissible values given in 1.3. Moreover, when working with electrical receivers of
up to 1000 V, comply with the safety precautions stated in Occupational Safety Rules
When Operating Electrical Installations.
2.1.2 ACM-IP2.1 can be powered from PoE injector and 48 VDC external power supply
15 W min.
2.1.3 The requirements for operating conditions and the place of installation
given in this document take into account the most typical factors that affect the
operation of the device.
Factors that cannot be predicted, estimated or verified, and which the manufacturer
was unable to factor in during development may exist or arise during operation at the
operating facility.
In the event of such factors, find another operating site where said factors do not exist
or do not affect operation of the product.
During installation and operation of ACM, observe safety precautions laid out in local
regulations on electrical safety.
ENG − before connecting the product to the power supply, make sure the power and
communication cables are properly insulated;
− visual inspection of the device for damage (cracks, dents, chips, etc). During
visual inspection, pay attention to the integrity of the product, condition of
connectors, buttons, switches (all buttons/switches shall be easy to press and
must easily return to the original position);
− check settings of Offset lines 5…8, Offset lines 1…4 and CP switches as per 1.5.1;
Note — During manufacturing, each ACM-IP2.1 is assigned with the identical IP-
address by default: 192.168.100.10, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. If DHCP is turned on, the
product is automatically assigned an IP address when connecting to a shared network.
− enter a record on the set IP address or DHCP in the “Special notes” section
of the product passport;
− install and connect the ACM-IP2.1 at the operating site (see 2.4).
The location in the cabinet should be chosen taking into account the convenience of
access to the module for connecting the power and communication wires, as well as for
maintenance.
2.4.1 Installation
To attach ACM-IP2.1 at the workplace, the housing has a latch to secure to DIN-rail
35 mm. The unit is attached as per Figure 3:
− place ACM-IP2.1 above a DIN-rail 35 mm and engage the upper part of the DIN-
rail with the upper groove of the device (a);
− hold ACM-IP2.1 at the housing cover and gently press the device to the
mounting surface (b);
− after the attachment latch is fixed on the DIN-rail, make sure that the attachment
is secure.
а) b)
Figure 3 — Installation of ACM-IP2.1 on DIN-rail
2.4.2 Connection
а) via 100BaseT Ethernet interface. The on-site connection is carried out using
multi-wire UTP type cable, crimped with RJ-45 plugs, which is connected to Eth
RJ-45 connector (pin assignment is given in Table A.1). On the other side, the
cable is connected to a network unit with PoE plus injector function.
2.4.2.2 A terminal device is connected to the Line connector (pin assignment of the
connector is given in Table А.1) by a cable with maximum wire cross-section of 28 to 16
(AWG) (maximum cross-section of crimped wire is 0.5 to 1.5 mm2) crimped by a connector
from the scope of supply.
2.4.2.4 The availability of reverse polarity protection at the ACM-IP2.1 input prevents
damage to the device, and so the performance of the device is not affected when reverse
polarity supply voltage is applied across contacts 1, 3 and 4 of -IN –OUT 0 V 0 V connector.
Contact 2 (-OUT) is not protected against reverse polarity and is an output.
2.4.3 Dismantling
1) use a screwdriver suitable in size to loosen the fixing spring on the attachment
latch (a);

2.5 Operation
ENG 2.5.1 Configuration
Note — Besides the IPN Config Tool, ACM-IP2.1 can be configured using the built-in
WEB interface, which can also be used for updating software, downloading and storing
configurations.
When ACM-IP2.1 is powered via PoE line, orange LED on Eth connector is ON, which
indicates normal operation of the unit. To turn off ACM-IP2.1, you should disconnect the
interface cable from Eth connector. If using external power, disconnect the power cable from
–IN –OUT 0 V 0 V connector.
2.5.2 Troubleshooting
