Vacation 1

My colleague was attacked by the Taliban on their way for a patrol yesterday 3 were
shot dead while others were injured and they're taking care of them in the clinic
here in Iraq. Then last night I didn't have enough sleep and I'm no more
comfortable here because we heard a gunshot.
Yeah for now I'm so scared because things are getting out of hand
People die here daily, I wish I could get out of here and come back to my son. He
is my only family now, and I can't leave him alone in this world. I pray that
nothing happens to me because as I'm speaking we are in the underground for safety.

which some of my colleagues here have been out through the means of emergency

I can get out of here? I made some inquiries about how I can leave here and they
said that I can only go on a vacation if my wife or someone close to me applies for
it and you know my son is still a minor, I will be so happy if you can do that for
me because I don't want anything to happen to me because I don't want my son to be
an orphan.

vacation request for Dr. Edwin Roland. Can you compose the letter you will send to
them, or should I compose it and send it to you so you can send it to them?

Hello, Sorry for the late responses. We are having a little bit of a network
challenge in our database here in Iraq; that's why I haven't been able to reach out
to you. I don't know if the problem will still persist; moreover, I will always
find a way to get in touch with you, but at the main time, keep taking care of
