Good evening, my name is Andrés Hermosilla and at this time I have a question
related to my employment contract, so I would appreciate it very much if you help
me with it, my question is the following: How is the value of the overtime of a
worker paid with weekly salary calculated?

Without any other particular, I say goodbye

I look forward to your comments

Good morning, with respect to the question raised I proceed to respond and send an
example that graphs what I say and thus be easier to understand, however if upon
receiving this email with the answer you still have doubts about it let me know by
this same means so I can respond as soon as possible.

To calculate the overtime value of a worker earning a weekly wage, the weekly
wage must be divided by the number of hours worked in the week, which will give
the value of the ordinary hour.

For example, if a worker earns $ 100,000 and works thirty hours a week, the
calculation would be as follows: • $ 100,000 / 30 = $ 3,333 (The same result is
reached if the salary is multiplied by the factor 0.0333333) Then it must be
increased by fifty percent or in the percentage that has been agreed if it is higher, to
obtain the value of the overtime. • $3,333 x 1.5 = $5,000

I bid you farewell.
