Melissa’s favorite singer is Justin Bieber. Melissa is a great
friend. I like her because she is fun to be with.

The Capitol is a very busy place. It is famous for its


beautiful dome. Georgetown is a famous are in
Washington, DC. There are lots of old houses and
also lots of restaurants there.

The White House is where the President of the US lives. It is very big and
beautiful. Washington, DC is a wonderful city. It is a great place for a trip.

My home, my castle
Dear Mary,

How are you? My new house is just great.


It’s on a quiet street. It has a beautiful
garden in front of it with lots of beautiful
flowers.

My house has three floors. On the first floor


there is a huge living room, a dining room,
a modern kitchen and a small bathroom.
On the second floor a small bathroom. On
the second floor there are three bedrooms
and two small bathrooms.

My bedroom is on the top floor of the house, in the attic. I love it. There is a light
pink carpet, a nice bed, a small desk for my homework and an old closet next to
the window. There are lots of posters on the walls, too.

It’s a really nice house. I hope you can come and stay with us in the summer.

A life with Dolphins


Dr. Jonathan Casey has a very busy lifestyle. He is a teacher, a tour guide and
an author, all at the same time. Jonathan is from England, but he lives in the US
and works at the Dolphin Center in Florida. He spends all his time with dolphins,
his favorite animals.

At the Center, Jonathan works from 9 o’clock in the morning until 7 0 ‘clock in
the evening. He teaches visitors all about dolphins – where they live, what they
eat and what they can do.

On weekends, Jonathan takes people on boat trips where they can swim and
play with the dolphins in the ocean. He loves to be in the water with the
dolphins. Jonathan also writes books about dolphins. There are lots of different
types of dolphins. There are gray, black and brown ones that live in seas and
oceans. There are also pink dolphins that live in rivers in South America and
Asia.

Jonathan likes the way he lives. “Dolphins are my life. I like to be with them and
to help other people learn about these beautiful animals”, he says.
