Content Standards: The learner demonstrates understanding of Addition and


Subtraction of whole numbers up to 100 including money.

Performance Standards: The learner is able to apply addition and subtraction of


whole numbers up to 100 including money in Mathematical problems and real- life
situations.
Learning Competencies: (M1NS-IIa-23) Illustrates addition as “putting together or
combining or joining sets”
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the lesson, the grade 1 pupils are expected to do the following
with 80% proficiency level:
A. Develop basic problem-solving skills by solving simple addition problems,
emphasizing the idea of putting together or joining sets as a strategy for finding
solutions; and
B. Encourage a collaborative learning environment where students work together
to showcase addition as a shared effort of putting sets together, promoting
teamwork and positive interactions.
