Building Positive Learning Environments for Children Begins with Reading

Reading is important for a child during their early childhood years. Therefore, reading is a good way to practice
environmental knowledge. Future early childhood teachers who are knowledgeable about environmental issues are better
able to inculcate good citizenship and environmental stewardship.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Section will be divided into two groups.

2. Each group will produce digital book for elementary level students
3. Each group will create three (3) stories, two (2) Tagalog short stories and one 1 Ilocano short story highlighting
Filipino values.
4. All stories will be posted online through “heyzine flipbooks”
5. The deadline for this activity will be on May 14-17, 2024.
6. The digital book must contain the following:
 Table of contents
 Cover page (title – writers – illustrators)
 Characters of the story
 Body of the story (minimum of 7 Pages maximum to 10 pages)

7. Lastly, all stories will be collected and compiled (through links) by class president and will be posted online.

WAYS ON HOW TO CREATE DIGITAL BOOK THROUGH CANVA

1. Open your Canva

2. Create and design your own story – click create design (original image)
3. Click template and type “ebook”
4. Click “share” then “more” then “heyzine flipbooks”
5. Click the book and click “share” then copy the link
