The Role of the Youth in Nation Building


Session 1

I. OBJECTIVES

Academic Objectives
1. That the students know and understand the meaning of being a young
people in this days.
2. That the students know the importance of the role of the youth in nation
building.
3. That the students can articulate the importance of the youth’s contribution
to the development and building of the nation.

Character Objectives
1. That the students will be more confident with their God given abilities as a
young people of today.
2. That the students will have passion and desire to contribute to the
society’s development and growth in their own way of helping the
community.
3. That the students become a good citizen of our nation and be a light to the
darken community.

Behavioral and Skills Objectives


1. That the students will develop skills that can be used by them in helping
their own community.
2. That the students will create an opportunity of service in the community.

II. WHO ARE THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF OUR NATION

• A youth is any person between the age of 15 years and 30 years


regardless of the gender.
• Regardless of the Generational status, still young people determines the
future of a society or nation.

III. WHY YOUNG PEOPLE IS VITAL TO OUR NATIONS FUTURE

• “Ang kabataan ang pag – asa ng baya.” Dr. Jose Rizal


• Youth are expected to advance the current technology, education, politics,
peace of the country. On the other hand, youths have also to maintain the
culture of our culture, all good values in the societies, development
projects, etc.
• They are to continue or so to speak, enhance the ideas of the people
behind them, continue what has been started of create new ideas for the
future generations as well.

IV. THE ROLE OF THE YOUTH IN OUR NATION BUILDING

• The role of the youth is simply to renew, refresh and maintain. Youth have
a role to renew and refresh the current status of our society including
leadership, innovations, skills etc.
• Youth are expected to advance the current technology, education, politics,
peace of the country. On the other hand, youths have also to maintain the
culture of our culture, all good values in the societies, development
projects, etc.

o Protection

Becoming a Young people of today according to Apostle Paul.
